Okay I'm back at vaping. Last time I was on the scene one had 2 choices - normal ohm or LR atty's in their cartomizers or for dripping or to use with carts.

That was your atty choice - normal resistance or lr

I get the clearo tank thing now after some reading up and I think I get that a dual coil atty gives LR hit by the two 3ohm atties providing a 1.5ohm lr vape.'

But what difference is there between a normal atty and a 'bottom coil' atty.

Cheers.

"Bottom coil" mostly applies to certain types of clearomizers where the atomizer is at the bottom of the tank. Examples include the Kanger EVOD, T3, Protank, and the Vapeonly BCC. This distinguishes them from "normal" clearomizers, which are typically top coil (coil above the juice level, so it needs to wick upward). Bottom coils are more prone to leaking/gurgling but less likely to dry hit.

The dual coils you are mentioning usually applies to cartomizers. You are correct that there are two parallel coils. The downside of these is that you need twice the current to power both of them effectively. A lot of people here agree that a good single coil carto is the better option, especially for Ego-class batteries.

I highly recommend the Kanger EVOD, it is probably the best bottom coil out there. Its basically the same thing as a Protank, which is just a bigger glass version.

So I don't need dual coils as have ego batty and tbh I don't get dry hits with the ego-c and never did with the ego-t either (once I learned how to puff properly, look after my kit etc.)

I guess all I need is an lr 501 atty and drip tip for when I want the dripping experience.

Normal ego-c with juices I like is fine for my day to day vaping though I might try a clearomizer just to see if they stand up to the hype and are any better than the ego 1.1ml tanks (only vape .5ml - 1ml a day so size no issue.)

My only preference over the tanks for day to day vaping were the ego XL 1.5ml whistle tip cartos - they seemed to last for ever and the vape taste was cleaner due to not going through plastic and they NEVER leaked and shortened my pv size by an inch.

If the clearomizers are as good as those or better - they do LOOK GOOD and get good reviews on many sites and the smaller KLANGER is raved over on review sections of sites - I might try them if they vape better than the tanks / XL cartos. I understand the lack of filler makes the taste clearer or something?

I have a Brick and mortar place I can walk in and try em (no Klangers but E-Liq, NOVA's, CE-5, Mini-NOVA, D-NOVA) so will try before I buy and if not impressed will stick to what I know and like and just get an lr atty / drip tip set up for those couple time a week treats....

Cheers everyone.

If anyone is willing to go the extra mile and let me know if they've tried and would rank the following thart could save me a lot of hassle -

E-Liq clearo
NOVA's,
CE-5,
Mini-NOVA,
D-NOVA

All come in normal or lr atty versions for Ego batteries on a site I'm apparently not allowed to mention but factory and R&D center is located just outside Shanghai where I live and they said I can come and try and not have to buy in bulk but pieces at a time is fine!

All I have available to me is

E-Liq clearo
NOVA's,
CE-5,
Mini-NOVA,
D-NOVA

Plus in the clearo thread there are literally pages upon pages with people having probsa with the Klnagers, despite their rave reviews also, so that kind of puts me off when CE5 or Nova are a third or less of the price.

Will try the e-liq clearo and maybe Nova or ce5, they're under ten dollars each, so no crying game if they don't live up to the job and the tanks are working okay, just have to be willing to take time once a week or so to pre-fill a bunch with preferred juices / blends, so can pull out and then pop another straight in - I find the filling part hassle so try to fill loads up front....
