Hi, I am wondering if anyone out there has had this same problem, the coil in my kangertech loosens on it own, I have to keep opening my tank and tighening it.
I didn't notice at first since my husband has been filling my tank for me but he is away for work so I have to do it yself.
I make sure I tighten it, by the next refill it is loose again! Anyone know why? I'd approciate the help!
Thanks,
mclinnt

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you're using the subtank. If so, You must be speaking of the pair of tiny screws which hold the coil in place (the ones you have to wrap the coil leads around). This is a common problem that can happen with any RTA or RDA. It could either be the threading on the screw in question isn't wide enough, causing it to loosen, or the screw hole being either stripped or too big. It can happen. My suggestion would be to visit a local hardware store, bring the coil piece with you and trying finding some screws that are a little more snug. Just make SURE they seat all the way down so the coil leads make contact properly. You may end up buy 3 different sizes, but it will be a cheap and hopefully effective fix. Best of luck with it.

Could also be talking about replaceable coils coming loose; when I used them, they would regularly come loose through use. It's a question of heating and cooling cycles. It's a common problem that you can resolve by making sure that the coil and socket are clean and free of juice when you install a new one, and regularly tightening whenever you refill! Good luck!

Hi, and welcome to ECF :)

Depends on the particular Kanger topper you use. And the time of day it was made, perhaps

Some just fit a bit more snug than others, and the simple act of opening it up can put enough "drag" on the head to slightly loosen it. Just get in the habit of checking it when you refill.
