Dual coil RBA questions

Would it be possible to take a 3 post rba and make the double barrel build that RIP trippers did with the kayfun on youtube? Could a build be made where the coils are on the same side of the addy and are parallel to each other, so the entire opposite side of the atomizer is empty (filled with cotton)? Im doing some research before buying my first box mod and was also wondering if the resistance is calculated simply by the number of wraps on the kanthal (and ohm reader of course) or does the entire length of the kanthal determine resistance? i know that the gauge of wire affects resistance, but have no idea if it is the coil which truly determines it or the length of the wire it self? I'm not sure on the build you are talking about but if you can dual coil a 2 post attie i can't see why it wouldn't work.
The total length of wire affects the ohm but doing a dual coil cuts the ohm of each coil in half as it acts like using a thicker wire. 2 x 1ohm coils would read at 0.5 ohm.

This page is good for working out how many wraps and coil diameter etc for a certain ohm target.

Thanks! that helps a lot, so basically if i have a dual coil setup with each coil at 5 ohms, the total resistance would equate to 2.5 ohms?

I put a dual coil build in a Tilemahos RTA yesterday by stacking them. Working great!
