Dual coil cartos do not perform their best on ego batteries. Before you reject the carto tank idea altogether I suggest you try a 1.5 or 1.7 ohm single coil in that tank. You will have to get an XL version to have it fit in DCT.

Odd how subjective experience can be so different from one person to another, my reaction was quite the opposite after trying the carto-tank combination I never vaped an ego-t again, even discarding the ego-t hardware I already paid for.

There are a lot of people in this forum that keep repeating that DC cartos work great on ego batteries. They do work, but they do not work to their full potential and I think they cause a lot of people to judge the entire concept of vaping with a carto/tank based on that less than optimal experience. I think Smoktech would have been better advised to market their tanks with the resurrectors because their new customers trying the tank/carto concept for the first time are nearly all are low voltage vapers.

I actually like the dual coils especially with certain flavors, but only at a minimum of 4.5 V for a 1.5 ohm, but 2.0 SC boges and 1.5/1.7 SC smoktechs are still better on a 3.7v device than a DC on any setup.

Alright, I own an eGo (and Riva) and am looking at getting the small DCT tank. I don't want to fry my batts, mosfet, whatever. So I really want to be clear on my options for cartomizers before I order the wrong gear.

The mega 1.7 Resurrectors at CCV say they are for 3.7v and up. eGos are 3.4 right? Or is that going to be safe? These are single coil yes?

I see Hoosier Ecig has Smoktech replacements at 2.0 single coil. Should I stick to those?

What do you vets suggest as the best option?

You should be good with the 1.7 Resurrectors, it is the huge amp draw of running dual coils (basically like running 2 single coil cartos at once) that causes the potential problems with the dual coils. The 2.0's would be a weaker vape, but how much I couldn't tell you. Hoosiers has the 1.7's as well which are prepunched and have the flange at the bottom which makes things easier.

I have had trouble finding the smoktech 1.7 single coil in stock, especially the punched ones with the flange on the bottom. I like the dual coil alright on my ego, other pv hasn't made it in yet, but would like to try the 1.7 single coil to see what it is like. Everyone seems out. Maybe restocks are just around the corner.
