Bought a couple of Nautilus tanks last week (Dual coil atomizers). Was very disappointed. After all the whoopla about them I expected a new high in vaping. Crap, I have single coil Protanks and Puritanks that vape rings around the mighty Nautilus and use a third less power doing it.
SIL wants one so now she'll get two.
Dual coils look SO COOL.
Nah, but really. As others have said dual coils tend to go through juice faster. It's more of a matter of preference really. I feel like a dual coil also hits harder.
dual coils in the pre-built coils is nothing totally different then Rebuildable dual coils.... but I am a single coil guy personally

When I was vaping clearos there were no dual coil models to chose from. When I was vaping cartos, there were dual coil cartos but I just didn't like the idea of trying to keep two coils in that device properly wet with juice. Either way, with regulated PVs and mods you need enough power to make both coils work well.
Now that I vape almost exclusively rebuildables on mechanical mods I use dual coils 90% of the time. I find the vape at higher power better with dual setups and like the fact that the power is split between two coils for a little added safety margin.
But that's just me. YMMV as always.
If you have a vv/vw type battery with a good capacity, the duals are always better. Much higher wattage while putting less strain on each coil.
