As others have said, it gives you the total resistance of all of your coils.

If you have dual coils attached, you can find out the resistance of a single coil by multiplying your ohms by 2.
Same for tri coils, though I've never seen them.
And quad, naturally.

Similarly, you can build a coil and find out what the resistance of two or three or four of them would be through division. Ah, maths.
