How do I measure ohms for a dual coil on a RDA with a multimeter?

Hey guys, I've been experimenting with dual coil builds lately. I know how to measure ohms for a single coil, but how exactly do I measure for a dual coil? I am using an Atomic rda (tripole) and I have read around, but not exactly sure, that you measure one coil at a time, add them together, then cut that number in half and that's the ohm measurement for the dual coil. Is that correct for a tripole rda? How about a dual post rda?

Using dual coils, you're going to want to have each coil to be the same resistance so each will heat up equally. This also makes the math easy, if each coil is 4.0 ohms, with a dual setup the battery will see them as a 2.0 ohm load, simple half of what one would be.

Put one probe on the positive (center) post and the other probe on either of the other posts or on the deck in between the posts. What you see on the meter is the combined resistance of the two coils.
