the one way valves are about a half inch overall... they take some good pressure to open , and they will not let liquid back through or air. used 12 of them for a hooka years ago. most people were too busy getting light-headed to get right-headed...

i was thinking of using one to fill a juicebox with.

the nice thing about these is you can cut the ends off and shorten them quite a bit. also : if you are using a juice bottle with a big enough opening , you could put the valves on the inside of the bottle , then just use the bottom one for filling...

would you have a couple extra tiny valves you'd be willing to sell or trade?

i looked in my junk closet , and i dont know if i brought any of that stuff with me when i moved into this stupid apartment... im pretty bummed ...

you can get them at wal mart or kmart in the fish section. i have never used them purposely on a liquid i was heating , so you may want to rinse them good just in case ...

as a side note , you can get all-metal tire valves that are operated via a spring loaded pintle...

speaking of pintle , i wonder how small of a fuel injector i could get my hands on... compressed eliquid , with a pwm direct mist injector...

im onto something

got one of those at the fish section but their too big :(
wouldnt the tire valves require too much pressure to have the liquid flowing? and are those one way only?

yeah i was basically using a pump spray without the pump or spray.

theres similar designs for gold panning ...

as far as tire valves go , they are going to be too big. i would suggest finding someone with some tools , and get yourself some delrin. i used to lathe paintball gun bolts out of a 3$ block of plastic , and sell them for 10$ a piece...

delrin is where its at , if you cant make something out of delrin , kydex , and paracord , youre probably doing it wrong...

oh , and i forgot to mention , about the tire valve : its one way , air only goes in , but then again no i guess that wouldnt work good cause it could come back out , and liquid doesnt compress , so you would need fancy pressure pumps to fill your bottle

i think some simple simple stuff could be molded if one was so inclined... a little time with a dremel , some silicone caulk , and you could have a one way valve in no time...

whats this going on anyways , i dont remember seeing pics of a device yet...

Very nice, one question is there a check valve between the flavors so one is not squeezed into the other bottle? I see the T and am curious if you have two spring loaded ball bearing in the T restricting the flow so it does not flow to the atty and the other bottle.
Dan

This was my first reaction after seeing the picture. Even if you get a small check valve working, there is still going to be residual juice in the single line running into the atty. That could still impact the juice's flavor, not to mention that plastic (tubing) can "hold" a flavor.

Not to mention the internal added bulk from a T-connection and two check valves......

Finding a check valve in that diameter, with a lower resistance spring will be a challenge.

I would just run two separate lines into your cart. Just glue/hotglue/melt/shrink wrap the two lines together. It won't add much more bulk.

It would probably look better with 90* fittings on the two side by side lines going into the cart as well.

Guaranteed to work.....

Just my two cents.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I think he's using a teflon tubing. Will that absorb flavor/scent like plastic does?
