as promised inside pics but ill warn you its not pretty as of yet....a bunch of extra long wires and the like but it works and im using it too much to clean it up lol

How about a schematic or drawing of the circuit? I did a quick search for parallel regulators and checked out the datasheet and still not clear on how this is hooked up.

Well I don't have either and I'm on my phone but I'll try and help ya out.
Take one lm317 and bend up the posts just enough to solder to the other 317 make sure the heatsink side is down on both(reference pic-2) then add a risister to the left and middle post(pic 3/ or the adj and Vout), with that you have your dual regs in parallel now your off to wire everything up, I used donptal's poorvari schematic to reference but scratched the 2nd resistor and used a different pot, if I'm assuming right you were just curious how I paralleled the regs tho?
