yep you are correct. I was thinking it was not higher than 20 amp, is 30. Man, you guys jumped on that fast. I went to dig up mooch's blog, didn't even have time to edit myself
Pretty much what you would get is either a lot of hissing and bubbling, IMR/INR batteries kind of runaway less violently than an ICR. Worst that could happen is it exploding or causing the mod to rupture. I suggest against it, the conditions would have to be prepared very carefully and controlled well enough. Most experts I see that do those types of experiments use bullet resistant plastic glass boxes and such along with a lot of fire prevention equipment.
yow. if you don't already have an ohm meter, you really should not be playing with builds like that - period. ohm meter is one of the most important tools in the kit - ESPECIALLY if you are building on a mech and don't have any other alternate way to check ohms...
It's hard to tell from a pic but my best guess is that's about a .12 ohm build at MOST. That's around 35A and in the neighborhood of 150W on a fully charged battery. With that 24G wire, wrap simple coils rather than parallel and put AT LEAST 11 wraps on each one. That will get you in the .5 ohm range with about the same amount of wire and surface area. It should vape similarly and it will keep you from blowing yourself up.
