Hi again, back with another ? -

I was looking around at "510" models in all their various names, trying to figure out where to buy from and such, and I ran across one called the Duece II.

I originally was going to buy the Dura-C, but after reading that the Dura-C seemed to have problems for that particular model (and that Janty pulled it for a bit) I was going to go with the actual Joye 510. I realize these are the same, but I don't see posts about Joye pulling the one specifically called "510" but I've read several posts about the Dura line issues. ~shrug~

Anyway, I looked up "joye 510 e cig" and this one came up. This company is claiming: "This Electronic Cigarette / ecig model is the same model from the same manufacturer sold by the leading / top selling Electronic Cigarette / eCig brand in the US" BUT also that (the important part -->) : "The DEUCE II is the result of partnering with the manufacturer to design a more powerful and dependable atomizer, as well as adjustements to improve overall performance and reliability."

The unti comes with two batts, two atomizers, 5 carts, charger, and 1 bottle of juice. Batts are manual.

So, my questions are: has anyone heard of Duece II? Do all companies make these claims or do you think it is a legitimate one? And would you purchase a knock-off claiming improvements over the original (it runs $50, so pretty normal price range) or would you stick with the original "name brand"?

I don't know if this is the one I'll buy, but I'd like opinions on it all the same.

TXS!!

Why are you looking at suppliers that no one has ever heard of and are not part of the forum when there are so many good suppliers listed here on the forum and recommended by members????

I was simply looking at what was out there. I read - right here on this forum - that these products are all the same and so you should go for the best set-up/price for your given situation rather than "brand name". Besides, those vendors couldn't have been recommended if someone didn't actually take the leap and try them out. ~shrug~ That's why I asked if anyone had heard of them in the first place - to see if anyone had heard bad things, or good for that matter.

I have a feeling that the "better built atomizers" may be just a ploy to get folks to buy their more expensive 510s. I could be wrong. It just seems to me that if they really had worked with the manufacturer (Joye) on making higher quality atomizers, we would be seeing them all over the place, and not just on one site.

Just my opinion. I'd be hesitant to buy from them.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think I will just go with the Joye then. The Deuce interested me because of the 'package' (3 batts, menthol carts, bottle of juice...). I smoke menthol so the carts that come with all the others are going to be a bust for me. I figured I could get the both the auto and manual batts to try each, the menthol carts to check out the pre-filled, AND the juice to check out some random flavor. :)

But alas.. I would rather get a product that works and buy the extras for it, then something that doesn't work right out of the gate.

Thanks again,
Mazzy

poimode - it's jsut another Dura/510/Titan.

I had been looking around at different retailers - looking for the best package/deal for me personally. The Deuce honestly fits the bill better than any of the suppliers list on the forum - for me.

I'm a menthol smoker and this will be my first ecig. As I'm sure you have noticed, the carts you get with the kits are always either High or Med regular tobacco flavor. No real choice there. I would literally just toss them from the shipping box to the trash cuz I don't want "regular tobacco flavor". I planned on buying liquid too, but it would have been nice, as a first-timer, to at least get to try out the carts that came with the device.

(Deuce II) gives you a choice of menthol or regular and also a choice of every mg of nicotine. So the five carts you get with your package will be exactly what you want. Also, you get, with the kit, a bottle of juice - I was going to pick apple :) - so you get more to 'try out' then with the other kits.

Really that's what initially attracted me to the Deuce II - the fact that the kit would actually have stuff I wanted in it instead of junk that I was just going to throw away anyway. But then I read their claims of better attys and longer battery life, etc, and that's what had me curious, and why I posted to ask if anyone had heard of that vendor before.

If you want to check out the kit (it's just the same as all the other 510 models) you can just look up Deuce II and it'll come up in the search results.
