First review, so forgive me please if I leave anything pertinent out. I'll amend if so.
Ordered the 10ml 70/30 mix in 24mg strength for my husband mostly who wanted a tobacco flavor. I was not so much looking forward to a tobacco flavor as the ones I'd tried before tasted like licking an ashtray. This one came highly recommended so after reading the reviews I went for it. I received it today along with a sample of peanut butter cup juice, and proceeded to load it up in my stock ego-t lr atty + cartridge.
This is the review I left on their site after damn near vaping 3/4 of the liquid in 2.5 hours, a personal record.
If I had to name the banjos dueling here, they would be maple and a earthy cedar. This is a very smooth and straightforward vape in my book. The maple is a true maple, no vanilla or caramel confusion out of the mailbox. I could see this developing into a maple/molasses sweetness. The earthy part is without herbal sweetness or harsh bitterness. I taste the tobacco on the exhale. Good vapor, gentle throat hit. Would be great for a night of drinking if you tend to draw hard and often, very satisfying and forgiving on the throat the next morning I imagine! Will order again, can't wait to see how it develops with some steeping!
That summed it up, at the time. Extremely gentle throat hit to me, which isn't a "bad thing" it was actually a nice surprise. I was expecting to get knocked on my figurative .... with something that was tryharding an analog. It went from maple on the inhale, a woodsy and not overpowering cedar/maple combo on the tongue, to a smooth tobacco flavor on the exhale. I enjoyed it a lot.
Took my ego to work with me and left it in my bag, it's climate controlled so there was no heat or cold at play. 5 hours later vaped it on the way home and all night since. It's gotten darker in the cartridge, a darker brown caramel color. The 3 characteristics I named previously were still there. The cedar note had changed. Still present, but comparing it to the earlier "out of the mailbox" version would be the scent equivalent of comparing a damp, freshly chopped tree to woodwork from an old cathedral if that makes any sense. Instead of only a damply earthy note it was also smoky. I've been vaping it since and it's been hard to find the right words. The best way to describe it so far in my mind is like unpretentious tobacco with an old world flair, the maple lending it a sweet regality. If the tobacco and cedar are the "cathedral woodwork" then the maple is its frankincense counterpart in that analogy. Goes together perfectly. It was slightly "dirtier" of an aftertaste as well. Not ashtray at all, more like something to remember it by since it still was not packing a punch of a throat hit. Vapor production is good, but not "OMG WOW I GOT LOST IN FOG!"
I think this will be my drinking tobacco vape. I'm more about sweet for daily, but this flavor combo along with not being a throat killer would make it a good one for appearing more sophisticated than my drink choices advertise!
