There are significant differences between the bvc head used in the K1 / non nautilus clearo's and the bvc head used in the nautilus, they aren't interchangeable & do not vape the same.

The K1 heads will singe / burn the wicking material far easier when used at high power levels, the k1 has quite a bit less wicking ability & airflow.

Using them at higher power may burn the wicking material & taint a tank of juice with a burnt funk taste, it aint gonna scream or slap you or cause any damage other than a burnt head.

I have an aspire k1 with bvc at 1.8 ohms. How well would this work at 5 volts? The packaging said 3.3 to 4, just wondering if 5 would cause an issue.
i use aspire i really would suggest you dont do this as it will eat coils on a 2 to 3 day basis and you are at risk of over heating and the potential to shatter you tank but other than that would not be dangerous or harmful unless you get a dry hit from over heating you coil but in one word no i would not do it lol hope this help m8

Hmmm....to try or not to try...that is the question

5v / 1.8Ω = 13.88w & 2.77a, which may be a little too much power for that particular head / delivery device & your particular juice flavoring but not anywhere near high power levels.
You run exactly zero chance of doing anything but getting a funky burnt hit and having to clean the tank & change the head.
You'll know by around the 5th - 7th hit if its gonna be something you want to continue.
Press the button & find out how you like it.

I use 12w ~ 18w with nautilus bvc's everyday, the k1 type bvc's are less likely to give a satisfactory vape at above 11ish watts.

It isn't just about ohms x volts, it is about wicking ability, coil to wicking material contact area, airflow, pg/vg ratios, flavorings.
Why do you want to vape at 5v?
What are you looking for, more vapor, stronger throat hit, warm - hot vapor?

I'm an electrician and I'm working on a passthru device to work on a car cig lighter. It's kicking my hiney. Seriously. I can tell you everything you need to know to wire a 50 story building, but a simple passthru vape rig isn't as simple as it sounds. If you don't have a background in electronics engineering or at least the electrical field somewhere, please don' try this. You can't just hook up a eGo to a phone charger and start puffing on it. If something goes wrong you are actually holding 120v @ 15 - 20A in your hand and the only thing between you and a electrical current that can kill you is a circuit breaker 50 feet away.

I know there are risks involved with something like this, but we all take risks getting into our cars everyday. I have read several things and watched several videos on the subject. I just didn't know what ohm coil head I should use for something like this. At least I'm not the guy using a power supply out of a pc to run his mod
