I may be alone on this, but I'm getting damn sick and tired of my rebuildable stuff. Just hassle and more hassle to get a vape I don't even like. Then if I do get a good vape, I get sick of the flavor and the new flavors don't mix. I'm thinking about just trading/selling my kayfun and nemesis to get a provari with a pyrex tank. There will be no more hassle. So how do you think it will be going from kayfun to carto? Will the cartos taste really muted or what do you think?

I have a ZAP and an AGAT-2 for my ProVari. I also have 3 Phiniac tanks with Boge 2.0 carto,s. I even have a Zen2 hybrid, and a Zen2 carto hybrid.

And honestly? I use my carto tanks almost exclusively, for the reasons you stated above. I don't find a quantum leap in taste in the RBA's, and there is a lot of fussing with them. The carto tanks are simple, reliable, and provide an awesome vape repeatably.

I do enjoy my RBAs sorta like a cigar vape at home, but more often than not, they sit idle.

for some reason I dont think the kayfun is as good as it could be on a mech. seems to be better as a standard resistance tank to me.

I also drip if i really want to change up flavors.

dont like carts at all myself but to each his own. we should just be happy we find something we like to use and stick with it.

I tested my friends provari, and I traded someone my kayfun lite (no device) for a provari 2.5 and cirrus tank. Suprisingly it's in almost new condition. I am very happy with it so far... I just want a simple vape, I was having too much trouble with those other attys. Maybe in the future I will sell my nemesis and invest in another atty.

I'm with you on this one.

Cartos are reliable and hassle free. Flavor may be a bit muted but honestly I don't have time to mess around even though I do consider vaping a hobby as well.

The thing with RBAs and RDAs is pretty much about two things: 1, The ability to tinker and 2. The goodness of the vape is based 99% on how well you build a coil.

As someone just getting into rebuildables myself, it is frustrating as h-e-double hockeysticks. However, I just stay fighting the good fight and knowing that one day soon, I will be building own solid tanks and I will scoff at the poor saps that are stuck using clearos!

Two words (or one word hyphenated)....micro-coils.

A good micro-coil will last for...well I don't know...a long, long time. No fiddling, tweaking, brushing, poking, bending, or mutilating required. Throw in a cotton wick that takes two minutes to replace and they're pretty much hassle free.

Put them on a Reo and they're even better. The advantages of a tank with the taste of a dripper.

Like Thrasher said, I think maybe the problem was that it was on a mechanical mod. Because my problem would always be that the burning coil would not be in sync with the wicking. In that case, you have to rebuild the entire thing. On a VV/VW you can simply lower the power and it will work better.

I think I just kinda fell into the populariy contest with having high end mechanical mods. I just have a nemesis left though and I really don't see a purpose with mechanical mods. My igo-w at 1.5 ohm is hitting better than when I had it at a sub ohm. I'm just loving this provari so much I might sell my nemesis for a kayfun 3.1 and give it another go.

But I got a hell of a deal, especially since my kayfun was only $110. I got a provari 2.5 and cirrus tank almost new.

I like the KF i did notice it seems to take a few times to find the right build, i could never get it to wick correctly with just one strand. so i run doubled wick around 2 ohm at about 4v on both of them. i think with all the mechs and low resistance stuff around right now, we forgot that some things are still being designed for regular range and work well as just a normal old atty.
it works but i noticed the lower i went with resistance the more i was able to get a dry or burnt hit when heavy vaping, now i can take huge pulls, fog out the room and the next pull tastes just as good.

the guy who invented the KF makes one of the better regulated mods available and low resistance isnt needed or required and I really feel that without a lot of playing or maybe modding the kayfun just wasnt designed for it.

running in normal range i know i can barely see the road when im driving as my car is fogged out lol

I have assigned my mech cyclone and phoenix duty with a 1ohm coil and drippers are all i seem to enjoy on it anymore.

Totally agree. Too bad it looks so nice on a mech mod. I think I'm going to get rid of my mechanical mods anyway. I never liked sub ohm vaping that much anyway.

I love my sub ohm rbas, but when I'm looking for hassle free, the cirrus tank on an mvp keeps me going, and going, and going....

I recently dug out my old carto tank after a few months of using RBAs. Filled, primed, puffed, gurgled, flooded, garbage can. The flavor tasted bad to me and the vapor was "meh".
Same resistance as my genesis builds, but it seemed like everything was off. I keep a few spare cartos around for absolute emergencies, but otherwise would pass on them given a choice.

I'm one of the few I guess that hasn't had an issue. Clearos, on the other hand, are a different story.

I live in valencia ( right next to magic mountain ) I would be willing to meet up with you and trade you my provari v2 for your kayfun. PM me and we can work something out !

To me, RBA's vs other delivery systems (cartotanks and clearos) are like Linux vs. Windows or Mac. Everyone generally agrees that the power and flexibility of Linux greatly exceeds that of the mainstream operating systems, but most people just want to mash the power button, boot the system and go. I have work to do. I don't have time to "configure." Some people like the process of configuring the OS, mounting drives, setting up and becoming command line commandos. Not me.

Same with rebuilding coils. I don't even rebuild BCC coils anymore and have about a bajillion feet of resistance wire, cotton wick and silica lying around that will never be used except in dire emergency.
