I have been using These Transparent Red 2xAA Battery Box with On/Off Switch battery boxes for about 6 months and they keep breaking. One drop to the floor and I have no more mod. I am trying to find a box that is durable and lasts a long time. I wouldn't mind a box for a 18650. All my flashlight mods work but then stop working after a month. I have no clue why. I would also purchase a mod for the 18650 but it needs to be durable and last a long time. I am in love with 510 LR attys and would like to stick to that. If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

Have you tried a diy copper mod for the 14500 or 18650? 1/2" pipe works great for the 14500's and 3/4" for the 18650. Very durable as there is almost nothing to break. I was vaing problems with Rad Shac switch's at first on the 18650 copper until I picked up one of these C&K Components 3A Black Pushbutton switch from Mad Vapes.

I dropped my AA box (black, not the transperent ones) many many many times. Think the 20th time I did it broke.

I've been thinking about rubber shock guards on the corners. Or spraying the finished boxes down with plastidip (spray on rubber coating). Also coat the button/led/connections with the epoxy (Kwik Weld) when finished soldering. Use a toothpick and really get it down in between all the gaps. Since I started doing that they became a lot less breakable. Or attach a lanyard!
