I just got some rhubarb from my mother in law last night, lol. My grandpa grows it for me too. I used to eat it just like u did, right off the stalk! When I was old enough to notice it in the stores I couldn't figure out why it always had strawberry with it? I DO NOT want strawberries in my rhubarb anything, lol. My grandpa used to make rhubarb meringue pie of all things, so I just thought that was the way it was supposed to be?
I have made many rhubarb recipes, it's not the easiest thing to cook, and very rarely does it come out pretty, but I make a mean rhubarb custard crumble that I am pretty happy with. Grandpa likes it, but he is the only one who eats it besides me, so I may never know if it's any good or not. O well, more for me
I think u will be happy with both of them, I can't imagine there is another rhubarb liquid out there that is any better, I think they did a great job with it, and if it ain't broke....
