Thanks for the advice, everyone! I had some Lorann's sitting in the cupboard from my baking/candymaking days and went at it yesterday. It seemed that the usual recommendation was VG cut with 10% DW, so I went with that. Then I chose butter rum as my first flavor (10%). Shook like mad, tossed it under some hot water, shook again, and tested it out. I really like it!
