Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any direct experience with flying with your pv? I found some information on here and it seems like if it is checked with your luggage, you're good, but what about not checking it and going through TSA checkpoint? We are going on our Honeymoon in 30 something days, and we have a layover, so I was hoping to sneak a few vapes in between, lol.

Also, any experience with bringing a pcc? I would imagine this would look pretty suspicious to security on an x-ray machine. My thought was to check the PCC, but I'm still worried about it getting taken.

Finally, any experience with Customs? We are going to St. Lucia, so we will be going through their Customs and ours upon returning. This is the part that worries me the most.

Thanks in advance!

My suggestion would be to call the airlines and/or airport to find out specifically what their policies are concerning PV's. They would also be able to find out what the policies are for any layover airports and your destination airport as well. Better to find out ahead of time than to be surprised at the airport.

Thank you, but I did skim through that already. I guess my two biggest concerns were going to be the pcc and customs. I didn't really see anything on there that made me comfortable to bring it along. I was hoping to find someone on here who has traveled out of the US (even better to the carribean) that could tell me their personal experience with it.

I have only flown domestically since I started vaping; I only do carry-ons as it has been for work and have had no problemss. I carry my batteries and PCC in my laptop bag and a few bottles of juice in my ziploc baggie and no one has even batted an eye.

A few people on here have posted about flying internationally with no issues either. Its just like any other electronic device apparently. And as long as the carry-on liquid meets the security requirements for size, you should be good to go.

I went through Mccaran (las vegas) this morning with no problem at all flying back to London with my GG.

Keep your liquids in a zip lock bag and put them in a separate container and you are good to go. I carried 10 5ml bottles and 1 30ml bottle plus loads of batterys and chargers.

I would not risk checking my GG and the airline loosing my bags :vapor:

Let me help you out, OP:

I have traveled from Minneapolis to Philadelphia, Chicago, and the Philippines. I have only had one encounter with TSA, but it was quickly cleared up. There is nothing illegal about your PV or PCC but it might look suspicious to a TSA agent. Here's my rules of thumb:

-Follow all rules regarding liquids in your carry on - TSA | Transportation Security Administration | U.S. Department of Homeland Security
-Remove all batteries from any mods you have
-Remove atomizers from PV's
-Separate batteries from atomizers into small ziploc bags
-Place all atomizers and batteries in your carry on - you should not check batteries...this goes for your PCC as well
-If you're carrying a laptop, place your mods or ecig batteries or passthroughs in your laptop bag with other cables

I was stopped in Minneapolis with my Indulgence once, because it looked funny. This is because I left the atomizer and drip tip on the device and had the battery in it. I even placed it in the change tray. TSA took it out and pulled me aside. They tested it for explosive residue, and found none. I calmly explained what it was, and offered a demonstration. While they weren't terribly friendly, it slowed me down less than 2 minutes. In the end, they asked me if it was "one of those fake cigarettes?"...which I told them it was, and they sent me on my way. They even thanked me for separating it from my luggage...so that would be an option as well.

I am actually in Manila, Philippines right now. This last trip, I brought my Silver Bullet in my carry on luggage from MPLS through Tokyo and into Manila with absolutely NO problems. Just remember, their job is to check out suspicious behavior and items. Nothing eCig related is illegal or dangerous, so in the event you are stopped, play it cool, kindly offer to show them how it works and explain it's a niccotine replacement device or a pocket vaporizer. You may even wish to carry a vendor's business card that has a disclaimer about eCigs to make it that much easier.

Regardless, you should have no problems carrying everything on with you so long as you don't make it a problem. If you choose to vape on the plane, please be mindful of the problems it could cause, and be careful in doing so. Most US airlines do not allow the use of eCigs.

ive flown several times with my stuff. multiple bateries, cartos, bottles of juice, a pcc, chargers, and even my buzz. all carry on. never had a problem. depending on your airline, you may not be allowed to use them in flight. alaska/american has a non-vaping policy. If my neighbors are cool with it, i'll vape in my seat, discreetly. if not, i'll use the latrine.

I have a friend in Dallas, he & his girlfriend just started vaping and will be back from Aruba late this weekend. As soon as I hear back from him I'll let you know. She had ordered them both the Blu, but he's a pretty heavy smoker and ended up picking up something retail that sounds like a screwdriver, so I'm more curious about his and what they said if anything. will keep you posted!

I have flown internationally (US-->UK) and didnt have an issue - batteries must be taken in hand luggage though and juice if you take one bottle on your person has to follow the same see-through bag rules as any other liquids you take with you.
I took my eGo and my minivapestack (a mod, look it up on madvapes to see what it looks like) with me.
On the way there I had the eGo on my person (and all the batteries as they are li-ion) and one bottle of juice (manufacturer's label attached to it). I had no issues, not even a odd glance.
On the way back I had to take my minivapestack in my hand lugage as I melted my ego charger (lol). They did take alook at it (its not tiny) but were fine with it - just a wave of the hand and a 'thats fine'.
I stealth vaped in the bathrooms at the airports as well, but I was discreet and no-one noticed anything :)
