Hi All!

Have been reading the forum since I gave up smoking a month ago (~30 analog a day before) and started vaping. Love the device (I have eGo and waiting for my first 6v mod to arrive).

I live in Finland - one of those countries which made nicotine e-liquid illegal to buy - customs confiscates nicotine e-liq when they find the right packages. This sucks a big time.. I understand at least Germany and Canada are facing the same problem. I was mailing to lots of officials, so if anyone is interested - can tell the details.

Now I might now sound stupid, but what if I take 10ml bottle of nicotine free e-liq and drop in it 18 nicorette inhalator carts (10mg nic each). Shake, let it stand over night.

Will I end up with 18mg/ml e-liquid safe to vape?

18x10mg / 10ml <=> 180mg / 10ml <=> 18mg / ml

Nicotine free e-liquid is still legal, while I can get nicorette from a pharmacy. Anyone did or thought about it?

Thanks,
Luka

Splendid idea. Some thoughts though:
- where to buy 'pure' tobacco - without stuff added to the cigarette tobacco due to EU regulation;
- flavour-nicotine ballance - if you get right amount of nicotine could the taste be bad to vape? Or the other way around?
- time and temperature? How hot should I heat PG for the tobacco to give up nicotine?

It wasn't too clear with nicorette either - if I find out how to upload picture here I'll explain some details.

Did it and there are some uncertainties. I was expecting the stuffing of the inhalator to be some sort of polyfill, just like in e-cig carts. But it's some sort of hard plastic with pores. Guess it would be better to drip the base liquid through the inhalator - but that's too much work.

So I just dropped them in the bottle, gave a good shake and left it standing. Not sure now how much of the nicotine the liquid will get.

I'll let it stand overnight now and tomorrow morning (time when I need most nicotine) I'll try to vape it.

I'm also curious about the waste - for sure I will not be able to drip all 10ml from that bottle - the carts will absorb some liquid.

Am I the only one here who lives in a country where e-liquid is medication and should be purchased from a pharmacy only? Sadly enough, countries which sell e-liq do not classify it as a medication, therefore it's not sold in pharmacies.

I could be wrong but I am not sure you would end up with 18mg/ml e-liquid as much as 'cutting' the original liquid down to 9mg.

I only say this because I had 15ml of 24mg e-liquid and added 15ml (to make 30ml total) of flavorless pg/vg mix and was assumed it would 'cut' the mg total down and make it a 30ml bottle of 12mg e-liquid. Again I'm not sure it's right and don't mean to burst your bubble but it just makes sense when doubling the volume but not the mg amount would lesson it not make it an equal amount. Anyone else?

I've seen 60 and 80mg... also having a huge disclaimer that it is toxic/lethal if you get it on ur skin at this high of levels.

I would never use an inhaler, nor would I try snus cookin in VG (sounds horrid)... I think if I were at the point to not being able to buy e-liquid I would quit period, never going back to smoking and I'm surely not vaping snus juice, when the same 4,000 chemicals that are in cigs are now in ur liquid. EEEEEP!

This is just my opinion, but before I'd go to all that trouble and expense, I'd find a way to get some highly concentrated nicotine shipped to me. Yeah, it's against the law, but I doubt you'd face more than confiscation (unless you order a 1,000 liters)

In fact, customs is pretty advance: they send samples to the laboratory to have statement on nicotine concentration (even when the package clearly says, e.g. 1.8%) and then they refer to their own volume-concentration tables which define whether they just give me a notice or press charges on smuggling, etc.

For obvious reasons they refuse to show these tables for me.

I would have to move, I think.

The entire concept of "checking your mail" to see what a GROWN adult WANTS to buy with their OWN money is completely ......ed. You shouldn't have to move to smoke an e-cig. Then again you Euro's vote for socialist governments - and control is part of any socialist equation. (There is a book written by Karl Marx that clearly outlines this for reference - if you need to understand). So reap what you sow. Then again, we are rapidly heading down the same path, unfortunately.

You have bureaucrats checking your mailbox AND doing testing on it's contents and you Euro's STILL vote for a socialist government and always will. Truly unbelievable.

I myself originally came from the country - USSR - which was first to implemented the socialism and communism :) I will not vote for socialists.

Before I even discovered e-cigs I started wondering the way EU started resembling the USSR.

Alas, it's not only the socialism, but bureaucracy as well. Roman empire did not suffer Marks or Lenin, yet the bureaucrats contributed the the fall of Romans. Chinese Zhen He (golden fleet) ended sailing across the world not because of socialism, but bureaucracy.

It's pretty natural (alas) for a bureaucrat to ban everything new for the reasons:
- if I allow and I will be wrong I will be responsible - I don't want that;
- to allow smth, I actually have to study the subject first - I don't bother;
- saying 'yes' doesn't sound cool - but by forbidding smth I look pretty powerful

But socialism + advance bureaucracy is a pretty scare mix.
