Hi all,

i recently came across equipment available for import from china, quite reasonably priced.
items such as egos c , t , start dusts, kangers, all kinds of accessories.

Do you guys think these are knock offs? They look pretty legitamte, and aren't the
items we buy from local suppliers just imported from china anyways?

What do you guys think?

Pretty much everything comes from China. If you want authentic "Joye" products, on their website they list suppliers that sell their products.

I have purchased from China. I found when I just started out vaping, it was easier to deal with a supplier here. Most answer questions within a day or so and do offer a warranty on their products. If I had a problem I could post here in their forum or shoot them an email. If I happened to get a bad battery for example, most just sent it out without having me even having to return it.

Maybe wait till you're more familiar or want to buy in bulk. I pretty much have only dealt with registered suppliers so I'm not all that familiar with how other suppliers deal with CS issues. Maybe good but I've had no experience with that.

Yes I hear ya. Just in case I new to send something back.
It just looks like the price is right. Also the shipping is usually
Free, all the way from china, where as shipping charges
From within Canada here alone are like 10.00 for
A couple measly 30 ml bottles.

It just bothers me how bad I get fleeced on the
Shipping around here.

Thanks for the informative reply. I appreciate it.
I
May give it a try in the future. For now all my
Hardware was purchased here in Canada online.
And juice I purchased in the US.

With the 50% to 100%+ mark-ups ($9 DuD in China vs. $18 "MonsterMesh" in US) and ridiculously limited warranty periods offered by US venders (mostly 30days or DOA), I ended up purchasing most of my hardwares from venders in China. When you can get a VAMO for the cost of a 1300mah Spinner, it's a no brainer.

Have you experience with. Canada Customs when you buy juice from the US?

Gorn, after you have 5 posts, we have a big, very active Canada subforum. Not that you have to post there, but some of the members there might be able to help.

BTW, welcome to the forum!

I'm fairly new, but used one of my favorite chinese gadget sites for most of my early purchases (~2 months ago). I've been pretty happy with them, since they had 900mah ego sets for as low as $12 shipped, but one of my ego sets came with a 100% dead ce4. Looking at the money saved, I just wrote that off as the cost of doing business and didn't bother with the return.

Turns out that even if it did work, I'm not much of a ce4 fan anyway, and it didn't cost much for me to find that out.

It's one of those things you are going to have to research and decided on your own. Personally, I haven't been happy with most items I received in the the States. To me, it's over priced, and since I have nothing local to go to, I have to rely on delivery anyway. In fact, I just now received an Ego Upgrade Mod from China.. in 5 days.. No mater where I ordered it from here in the US, to get it here sooner would have cost over $25.. for something I spent $15 for.

I have ordered most of my vaping gear from China. Most of the things I've bought so far have been of decent quality, and well worth the money. A lot of the Chinese vendors operate with free shipping worldwide, regardless of the value of the order. The free shipping option normally means China Post, which is painfully slow (3-6 weeks in my experience). I normally put in a few small orders every month. Some of the orders just to stock up on expendables, and other orders to try out some new stuff. If you do your homework and check the vendor's reputation, either here at ECF or by a quick visit to resellerratings.com or similar, buying gear from China could be an easy and fun way to save a few bucks. And of course, read up on the customs regulations to see if you should keep the value of each shipment below a certain limit, and/or nicotine free etc.
