If you make purchases from a supplier outside your country, lets say Health Cabin fron China for example, and you get defective item, do you have to pay for shipping to send it back even if its under warrenty? That would be paying more in shipping than the item probably worth. What about shipping the replacement item back to you?

Im wondering because its so difficult to find places in the US that carries everything Im looking for, but Im thinking if I place my orders too far away Ill be stuck with wasted money whenever something doesnt work.

So, how does this work? Is Health Cabin good and is their 6 month warrenty basically useless due to shipping costs?
Thanks!

with almost all places, when you RMA an item you pay shipping back. only places i can think of that don't are for defective xbox (red ring) and sometimes the big name boys like samsung will send you a return package lable.
as for something from the orient.. i would have to say, you're on your own.

usps has crazy cheap rates depending on what you ship it in or how. i think first class is like a buck. i could be wrong but last time i sent dvds out i used that and i was shocked at the size of what i was shipping and the cost being so low.

what is it that doesn't work, maybe there is a simple solution.

Yeah, the shipping thing is basically what made me decide not to go the China route. Even if the items are cheaper, the cost of shipping makes them just as expensive as a well-priced American store. And like you said, if something doesn't work, you're pretty much paying for a new item again when you ship it back. You may as well just buy from somewhere else and not bother returning it.

I think if you look, you can find places that are just as cheap in the US after shipping is factored in. The items themselves may cost slightly more, but the shipping is less than half the price, and you get your stuff faster. Some places also have free shipping if you spend a certain amount, and some of them are quite reasonable amounts.

I was having trouble deciding where to buy my kit. I was going to buy from China, but then I went to Electro Nic Stix, had about $62 in my order, and after $60 they give you free shipping. That made the American company cheaper, so I did that. And I'll probably get my stuff in 1/3 of the time it would have taken to get it from Heaven Gifts.

Nothing wrong with these places, but if you're in America... you can probably find a deal that's just as good, if not better. There are lots of e-stuff companies in this country.

I've sent stuff back to china and like portguy says - most have 6 months or more warranty so you can send a few things. I use airmail - which is like $4 and have them send it back that way too. Not good if your in a rush of course. Sometimes I'll just have them include the returns in another order that is shipping EMS.
