The part about it being from China is kind-of funny since they were invented in China. I wouldn't recommend the E9, however, unless you like switching out batteries every 45 minutes to an hour.

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

I would suggest you look at a better battery beginner model such as the E-Power 510, Riva 510 or Kgo. Much better performance from a model that is about the size of a slim cigar. Here are some reputable suppliers:

What wv said. If anything, China has stricter production standards for e-things than the USA does (coming from someone who has Johnson's creek cartomizers- made in the USA. No bias here). If you really DO care about form over function like me, it would seem the general thoughts for a mini/supermini would be... what was it? an eGo of some type? Either way, happy hunting! Wish I could be more help with that, but I've only really used Blu. Hasn't really turned me off in a year and a half of use. Green Nicotine was founded in my town (Tucson, AZ) and from my tryouts from their mall kiosk samples, they aren't that bad a product either. Vapor-wise anyway.

Ah, just a side note on the battery issue, having been vaping exclusively Blu cigs for the past 18 months, you sorta get used to switching batteries out. PCC's really do come in handy, charging batteries on the go. But again, form over function, or vice-versa. It really depends on whether or not you care if people look at you like your crazy for sucking on a small metal box, or a ballpoint pen. xD But from what I heard, if you go the function end, it's well worth it. Being a 19 year old constantly out in malls and such, I obviously prefer form.

I'm looking into making the switch from analogs, and I've been looking at the E9 e-cig from China.

Has anyone used this model or purchased their liquids before? Should I have any concerns.

Any feedback is appreciated

Hey there Jeebus! Welcome to the forum!

I started with an E9/Kr808D-2 model (GreenSmoke) and although it was okay, I got really tired really quickly of trying to find blank cartomizers to fit. Basically after a lot of research, I wasn't able to find any Canadian vendors that sold them, and only a couple of US companies that sold them (both of which don't ship to Canada). I bought an Ego after that (too big for me, didn't really like it) and then finally the Volt which I love.

Although a lot of people have been successful shipping products with nicotine from China/US, customs seems to be cracking down more and more, and refusing shipments. There have been a couple of people in the Canada forum who have had 'hardware only' shipments refused (no nicotine) lately. The Health Canada rules are really wishy washy.

With all that in mind, I would personally suggest that you order from Canadian vendors to avoid customs issues. There are some really top notch vendors in Canada, and their shipments would get to you a lot quicker than from US/China.

Go to the stickies in the Canada forum and request that a list of vendors be pm'd to you.

If you want something that resembles an E9 (cig-sized), I would recommend a KR808D-1 model like the Bloog (sold at Happyvaper.com, Canadian Electronics Vapor) or the KR808D-1 kit sold at Canvape.com . The batteries will last a couple of hours each, so you'll need at least two, but I'd recommend 3 batteries to start. The Bloog kit is pretty much exactly like the Volt I bought at Smokeless Image and I love it! There's an optional personal charging case (about the size of an Iphone) you can get with it to charge your batteries on the go.

Any KR808D-1 and Bloog cartomizers/parts are interchangeable and can be bought from lots of Canadian and US vendors. It's a much more popular model than the E9/KR808D-2 model.

Prefilled cartomizers are nice, but it's way cheaper to buy blanks and fill with e-juice. Cartos can be refilled several times before you throw them out (up to two weeks or more). There are several good e-juice vendors in Canada that have a wide variety of flavours to choose from. Just remember to buy sample sizes of juices, because taste is very subjective when it comes to ejuice. What tastes like french toast to one person tastes like feet to another. lol.

Good luck with everything and if you have questions, just ask!:)
