E-Cig giving a burning taste

I just got my set up less than two weeks ago, and everything has been great so far. But yesterday it started to give a burned taste. I can still taste the flavor, but it's making it much less pleasurable.

Granted, I forgot to shake the juice before I filled it, I figured that may have something to do with it, it looks semi-solidified in there.

Any ideas? Thanks

Replaced mine one week ago tomorrow. I did puff it alot this weekend, went to some parties and had to resist the analogs. I'll give it a try

Using Kanger protank 2, a smok 1300 adjustable battery. 2.2 coils

You could try soaking the atomizer head in vodka overnight, rinse with hot water the next morning & put on a paper towel to dry. But it would be easiest to change out the atomizer head.

I would say a week for a protank head is pretty good. A lot depends on the liquid. sweets and darks tend to gunk up faster. if you take the head out, you can pull the chimney off. use some tweezers and lift out the two small white wicks. Under that is the coil. If its dark and gunked, there is your problem As was posted by butters80, you can clean and dry burn them to get more life, or just swap it for a new one.

TheJake Bailey has the right idea. Out with the old in with the new, atomizer that is. Clean the old one as time allows. Just remember to prime the new atomizer or it too will get burnt.

Definitely. thick or dark juices high in VG will gunk up coils 10x quicker than thin/ light high PG juices. And once the coil gets gunked up, the gunk burns and leaves that crappy taste.

Yep high sugar content will also do it to coils.

yes, your tank,,,,,,,,,you have a protank? somehow I missed that in the opening post,,,,,,

you can rinse and dry burn the heads (take the wick out if it's cotton!). It makes them last much longer!
