The eGo is a solid performer, and I always say that every vaper should have at least one eGo kit in their collection.

The eGo is essentially the same thing as a Joye 510, just with a larger battery for longer vape time. However, they're really good, solid E-cigs. I have 8 eGo batteries myself and still use them -- the first ones I bought over a year ago are still going strong.

Almost every vendor sells an eGo kit of some stripe. My recommendation is to go with a standard eGo kit (not the eGo-T tank system; a lot of people love them but I just couldn't bring myself to, as there were too many major flaws for me) and buy yourself some Boge low resistance cartomizers to go with them. Couple that with juice from a decent vendor and you have yourself an excellent vaping setup that'll blow any gas station/mall kiosk type E-cig away.

Now, if you want something that looks and feels more like a traditional cigarette (which is important to some people) I would go for something like the Smokeless Image Volt, Bloog MaxxFusion or Smoov E-cigs. They're slim, battery life is still pretty good (not as good as the eGo, naturally) and they're great performers as well. However, just keep in mind that these have different connectors than the eGo. The eGo uses a 510 connector (the most common type), while the Volt, Bloog and Smoov are all based on the KR808D-1 (a.k.a. 808) connection, so you need to make sure the cartomizers you buy match your battery connector.

Cool thanks guys. You are right on top of this stuff.

What type of liquid do I want? There's like PG and PV or something right? I don't want weird flavors (I don't think) I just want it to taste like an analog as much as possible. The amount of different liquids is so confusing

Also I live in America, so I'd like to buy from an american company

Theres generally PG and VG -- propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine. And the juices come in allll different ratios, a lot of vendors let you pick what ratios you want. PG gives more throat hit, VG gives more vapor. Some people have reactions to one or the other, but i think in general most people go with about a 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG ratio. Oh and the flavor is something else entirely (although VG does mute flavors some). The best thing to do is just order little sample sizes from different vendors in different nicotine strengths and decide what you like. THere are also a lot of you tube videos of people doing reviews of various juices.

Unfortunately you're never going to get a liquid that tastes like burning tobacco. However, there are tons of juices out there that taste like particular blends of fresh tobacco. Places like Vaperite specialize in that sort of thing, and Todd at Vaperite does extract some of his own tobacco flavours -- and his juices are most excellent.

Your VG/PG ratio is going to be a personal preference. As dotma already explained, PG gives you throat hit and flavour, VG gives you vapor. Most of us here like a mix. My preferred blend is 70% PG, 30% VG. The 30% VG gives tons of vapor, but the 70% PG is still plenty enough to carry the full flavour and throat hit through. This ratio also works in most all atomizers, cartomizers and tanks. (VG is thick, so higher VG means thicker juice, and thicker juices won't wick well in most tank systems and some cartos.)

So I'm just gonna order 30ml of PG 24mg is that ok? Or are you saying I need to dilute it with VG?

edited to say I guess that's what you are saying haha. So i need to order both at the same strength?

If you dilute it yourself, youre gonna lose some flavor. Most sites will let you pick a ratio of PG/VG. And if i were you, i would not go for a whole 30 ml bottle of one thing to start with. You might end up with some juice that you hate. You may be better off going with several 5 or 10 ml bottles of different juices. They are all very very different.

Try this: Order one bottle at 24mg and one bottle at 12mg, same flavour. If 24mg is too high and 12mg is too low, mix the two at 1:1 and you've got 18mg. Or a little more 24mg to get 20mg, or a little less to get 16mg, or whatever until you hit your sweet spot.

I'm at this liberty flight spot. I'm not seeing where they let you pick your ratio...

Okay, i just looked and it looks like liberty flights does not let you pick a PG/VG. It really isnt all that hard, but like i said it will dilute your flavor some to add VG. You can buy just plain VG if you want and add it to your liquids. Or you dont have to have VG at all. freedomsmokeusa lets you pick a PG/VG ratio, virgin vapors, vape-a-licious. i have these sites also written down that they let you customize the pg/vg but have never ordered from them: vaporgods, deejstuff, jooglerjuice, vaperite, primevapinginc, and myfreedomsmokes

Hmmmm I'm still confused with the liquid question. The site I want to order from doesn't seem to have different strengths of unflavored juice...

Is this stuff easy to mix on your own, or a pain in the ...?

It is not a pain at all if you are talking about mixing your own eliquid but I would strongly suggest going to the DIY section here at ECF and learning all that you can before deciding if it is for you.
The only ingredients needed are VG, PG, nicotine (please read safe handling instructions) and your flavoring.

I make all of my own eliquid but did not start doing that until I had been vaping for a few months and had learned alot about it. It may be easier to figure out what flavors you like best before attempting DIY eliquid. There are many vendors here that offer mixed PG/VG ratios but LF is not one of them.

There are some good vendors on your list and many of them offer sample sizes :)

parttimeparty,

Just wanted to add my 2 cents in here. It would be fabulous to have a one stop shop for everything, but there is a definite benefit to buying your hardware from one vendor, and your juice from a reputable juice supplier like one of the many that have already been suggested here. They "specialize" in making juices and will give you a good idea of what you like. So pick up several sample sizes in various PG/VG ratios, nic strengths and go from there. After you've got a good idea of all of this, then hop on over to the DIY section and dip your toes in there. ;) It's a lot of fun! Welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of vaping!
