Big tobacco is positioning themselves for a dominance role in the E-Cig market. Dare I say a monopoly? If regulations reach such an extent massive amounts of money are needed to comply they will be ready. First when it comes to licensing BT is already there. The production of e liquid could be so regulated only firms with huge budgets could comply. BT would love the government to come down with both feet. I do think BT does not grasp the total view of the market. All they see is a smoker replacing the tobacco cigarette with a cig-a-like and will stay there forever. It seems just about everyone moves up and beyond entry level. So will BT build mods? Not likely. What they will do is attempt to control the nicotine liquid. If they have dominance of liquid production be ready for huge price leaps not to mention the taxes. Some of the EU folks are looking on device specific regulations. How about sealed cartomizers? Yup they could only sell them pre-filled and pre-tested at a nice high price. As of now there are a lot of ifs or could happens. In summary more regulation favors Big Tobacco. Time will tell when and how much.
