E-cig options that don't burn money?

Hi there,

I am looking for some advice on purchasing a new e-cig model. I started vaping about 2 years ago using the vapor king.

Ordinarily I smoked a little over a half pack of analogs daily. With cartonizers I found I used a little more than one a day, sometimes more on weekends when I chain-vaped. At $10 for 5 carts this doesn't save that much, and when batteries started to fail, and I had problems with recharging, I got frustrated. I tried getting empty cartonizers and filling them myself, but this didn't really work and ruined an e-cig case.

I tried out blu cigs in late January. I thought the charger pack would be useful in keeping my batteries charged, but the charge lasts so little time that it doesn't really matter. It seems the battery life is pretty much gone after four months and I'd need to invest in new batteries; maybe a new charger. The blu cartonizers don't seem to last quite as long as the cartos on V4L either.

I'm thinking about getting one of the EGO models, since it seems most of these can be refilled using your own e-juice and the larger battery should last longer. I imagine this would be the more cost-efficient way to go. I'm not hung up on it looking like a cigarette anymore. I'd just like an affordable way to stay off of analogs. Preferably not too complicated since I'm not an electrician.

Trouble is that there are so many online vendors that I don't know what way to go. I've seen some larger e-cig units going for $80, the Joye EGO-C going for $80 and other things claiming to be the EGO - C going for $42.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good vendor that sells a reliable large e-cig at an affordable price?

As MANY have recommended here, I recommend a KGO battery and some LR atomizers as the next logical step. Steps if you will have helped me appreciate the difference in fixed voltage vs VV devices. f you really want to jump to VV and a large (18650 type) device, I recommend a Lavatube or one of it's clones. I truly believe if I had jumped straight to a LT, I wouldn't appreciate the difference in technologies. None of them (at least the ones I have tried) are perfect. So, for me, it's been valuable to test the various levels of vaping technologies. Hope this helps.

It's hard to get more cost efficient than a kGo atomizer kit, with an 1100mah battery, almost 2x the capacity of an ego. Add a couple boxes of 1.7ohm and 2ohm cartomizers and some juice and you'll be good to go.

Use the atomizer to taste your juice before you commit a cartomizer to it. Fill your own cartomizers and they'll last a week or two. You can buy cartomizers 25 for $23 shipped from surevapes.com for the Boge 2ohm.

The only more cost effective, in the long run, e-cig you can get is an e-power, because it takes replaceable batteries and the switch is replaceable in case of failure.

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely considering it. Are these kinds of batteries safe to carry in your pocket BTW? I like to have an e-smoke on my lunch break and have nowhere to store it at work. Do they have a button protector or carry case / are they likely to leak?

The e-power and kgo and Vtube/Lavatube all have a cutoff to shut the e-cig down so it can't fire in your poxket.
You shouldn't carry loose batteries in your pocket, but the e-cigs themselves are safe to carry. Just turn them off.
They all have carry cases, included or available. Leaking depends on what you use. Cartomizers don't leak. You can put the included condoms back on them to seal them up. (not the kind of condoms you're thinking).
