Some lower their nicotine to a very low level or zero and continue to vape, but some of those quit totally.

Some stay on their preferred level of nic and keep vaping.

Some crank it and increase their nic and TH and some chain vape.

I have little willpower but I went into vaping determined to not increase my habit and I did not. And a couple of months in when I was comfortable with my equipment and daily juices, some part of my brain said to drop a level. I did that several times and now I'm on 4mg, lower than any cigarettes. And the lower I got my nic, the less desperate the habit was. I feel like if I had desire and willpower I could quite from this point but I do enjoy it and find it relaxing - I don't know if I will ever quit. But it's nice to be less of a slave to it.

I bought the joye510-t over a week ago. I bought my father inlaw a ego-t and I must say my joye510 hits way better. Way more th then his ego and his juice is 100% pg. I hav learned to leave the 510 at home all day while I am at work and use it at night. When I was smoking cigs I was smoking them all day. So I go all day with no nicotine.

I started vaping to quit 2 years ago and actually did quit analogs for 2 months, then went back. Now I'm 13 days into vaping only and I plan on keeping it that way now. I notice that I don't vape as much as I smoked and after a while the vaping will probably taper off as well. For now I plan on continuing to vape as a replacement.

This is great news .... I remember years ago thinking "if only they had a cigarette like device that you could enhale on, and have some proper smoke to blow back out that wasn't harmful - I could quit no problem" I guess that day is here !!! Wish I hadn't already finished my xmas shopping, there's a few people I could have bought these for !

When I started vaping I immediatly quit smoking and I had every intention of quitting vaping by only using one that looked like a real cig and slowly lowering my nic level now 6months later I have aquired several mods and a whole lot of juice and gotta say I love to vape it is my hobby but some say my obsession but either way I don't smoke anymore and that should be good enough, it is for me!!

Do you use any nic free juice? What about the cost, how much do you spend on juice a week?

Replacement for me, since I had no intention to stop actually. But something healthier, I always give it a try ... And I like vaping ... So for me it's a replacement. I might lower the nicotine if i still get the same throat hit & taste. Going to try that in a while ... If it works, good, if it doesn't i'll stick to 11mg nicotine (smokefree for 3 weeks now !)

In Stephen King's autobiographical, "On Writing", he points out that smoking makes you sharper and helps your brain work faster, but also kills you. So if I can get the "sharper\faster" part without the "killing you" part?... Yes please!

I suppose I should point out, however, that it is WAY too optimistic to think that are not health concerns with vaping.

I have not read all of the replies so forgive me if this is repetitious. It depends on your goals. I started vaping with the intention of replacing cigarettes, saving money, health benefits, and frankly I was tired of smelling terrible. Quiting nicotine was not a goal that I had in mind.

I do find that I have lost the intense cravings that I had with smoking and the most surprising benefit that I found was that I don't have to take my e-cigs everywhere with me. I can go many hours without it and not feel that crazy feeling that all smokers are so familiar with. So in short I do honestly feel that if I choose to stop vaping it will not be nearly as difficult as quitting smoking. Frankly I suspect I would have a much harder time giving up coffee than vaping from a pure addiction standpoint.

The Riva 510 is a fine choice and I suspect if you are like many on here you will obsess about E-cigs for a while, but once the novelty and excitement wears off a little you will settle into a nice niche that works for you. Meantime happy vaping and if you have any questions, the folks here are terrific and very supportive no matter what your personal goals may be!
