Ok, relatively new vaper here who's been reading a lot - but have yet to post... Until now. I started off with a 900mAh Ego-T battery and some CE4 clearomizers to start about a month ago, and for the most part I haven't looked back. Added a few 1100mAh batteries to the collection and also picked up an iTaste VV V3 and 4 Kanger Mini Protank 2 (v2)s... This has been the easiest I have ever experienced in getting off the analogs! But I've noticed a few things...
First a little about where I'm coming from. I never really "enjoyed" your typical cigs... Although I smoked a lot of Camels. Around 1988 a friend introduced me to the wonderful world of clove cigs. My introduction to them was the Sampoerna Classics and it was heaven. Not only did they taste spectacular - but often, even non-smokers would comment at how they liked the smell. So I'd supplement my regular smoking with them whenever I got the chance. Up until they got bought out by Phillip Morris and discontinued, I was almost exclusively smoking the Classics or the Exclusives if they were out of the Classics. I tried all the Djarums and never cared for them like I did the Sampoerna - but I didn't have much other choices. Djarum Supers & Vanilla were pretty much my go to ones then. Then they tried to get rid of those and changed them to cigars... Which totally ruined them for me. I found clovecigaretteshop online and ordered basically a pack of each brand of clove they had - probably tried about 40 different kinds. I finally settled on the Gudang Garam Professionals & Signature Milds. And had been smoking them up till I ran out and started vaping. Being a clove smoker, I took to the "new" inhilation technique pretty quick as it was basically the same way I'd smoke a clove.
I love all the flavors that I've found so far. I've got quite a few juices from Mt. Baker Vapor, 9 different tobacco ones from Heather's Heavenly Vapes, and just ordered 3 flavors from Tasty Vapes last night - still hoping to find a GOOD authentic clove replacement as most clove juices I've had just taste like pure clove. The thing I liked about Sampoerna was there was some coffee accents and something slightly sweet about them as well - perfect blend...
Anyway, one thing I've noticed is most tobaccos taste like a cigarette SMELLS before it's lit. Many are fruity or sweet or well, just not really much to my liking. And I've found that I still get cravings for a GOOD tobacco smoke every now and then. Something with an actual smokey (or maybe even with a touch of nuts) flavor. The closest I've come is I found a local distributor that carries a brand called "Boom Lites" that aren't bad at all. Their Cuban Cigar is actually really tasty, but I think it may be more PG than I like. It seems that about 70/30/12 (PG/VG/Nic) works pretty well for me. 80/20 in some things seems to cause a weird tingle thing that I just can't quite describe or like. I'm not really big on pipe tobacco though. Cigars and cloves are kinda what I'm looking for in a good juice. Any other suggestions?
Also, while I love the gear I've got so far - I think I might also enjoy picking up something that's a little closer to and handles more like an analog cig... Preferably something I could use the same juices I already have in. I'm not sure where to start looking though as there are so many different brands. So any help in picking one out would be greatly appreciated!
I've rambled on long enough I guess. Thanks in advance!
