Thank god, there is finally a thread talking about vaping in Vietnam. I'm travelling to Vietnam this December (from USA) and not sure how to get pass the TSA with my PV. Can anyone provide me some tips to avoid interaction with the TSA? For example, I'm thinking about put my gear inside a travelling case and place it along with other electric items to let it go through the x-ray. My question is, do I have to separate the drip tip, tank, battery, and the device (I have the Vamo V2) before the xray and then reassemble it after? I do not want the TSA agents would mistake it at a explosive item whatsoever lol.

This may come to you as a surprise but some mods that cost thousands come out of Vietnam and other parts of the Philippines, customs should be alright check your ejuice except like 10- 30 Ml going through customs disconnect any batteries as well as remove your tank and turn your device off ( make it look like you have no intention of using it ) but in public their quite familiar with electronic cigarettes and you won't get any weird looks.

So I would separate everything (device, tank, drip tip) all inside a travelling e-cig case, putting the e-liquid in a quart bag and let it go through the x-ray machine?

Hi there,

I live in Saigon, VN; so I put my 2 cts there.
I travel a lot inside and outside VN. Since I vape, I've made 1 round trip inside VN and 1 outside (to Malaysia) and I never had any sort of issues with security check at the airports.
For my domestic trip, I didn't have checked luggage, only a big hand luggage. I had 4 or 5 e-juice bottles (10ml) in a box inside the bag, 2 ego twist batteries with USB charger and 2 protanks and I did pass all the security check without problem.
For the trip to Malaysia, I put the juice, charger and spare battery in my checked luggage and only kept with me an ego twist with a protank to vape during the trip. And, once again, not a single problem. I always put the e-cig in my hand luggage for the x-ray. I put it among the computer accessories (mouse, adapter, cables...). Not sure if it helps, but...

Regarding the shops in Saigon, the only decent one I know is the one already mentioned in this thread: Thu?c lá ?i?n t? | Cai thu?c lá
It is a small shop with very limited offer but the people here are nice and friendly. What you can see on thier website is basically what they have in stock. For the juices, they only have some Hangsen in various flavors and nicotine levels. The best is to go to the shop and see by yourself. I'm quite sure anyone would find a few flavors in the good nicotine level.
I tried this one: Hirashop yesterday. They have 2 locations. The one on Ly Thai To street have almost nothing (just a few cartridges) and the one in District 4 is not a shop. They have a few items in a stincky backroom of a coffee shop! Not worth to go there!

As one can see, Vietnam is not yet a paradise for the e-cigs addicts. If anyone knows another good place to find the stuff we need, I'm highly interested.

They're selling ecig in 2 big cities Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi, but very low quality products, very expensive, and you have limit choice for chossing. Those sellers have very little knowledge of ecig, too.

Besides, it is not public allowed here to open an ecig bussiness yet.

That's why I always buy those bottles and sticks from outside, and till now, I have no problems from Vietnam customs yet.

Like bineva said, Vietnam not allowed to open an vape shop yet. There're only few online-seller or very small shop hidding in other shop or selling at home. They're almost sell via phone and delivery to your place. You can't find mechanical mods in Vietnam too. Juice only have Hangsen, Liqua with limited flavors (almost cigarette flavors). The custom will dont ask if you carry just a few ecig stuff unless you have big amount so they think you are reseller.

Here is my fav shop (just because it near me): Saigon Vapers

I vape all over the place, people are very amazed and interested. I have to bring more stuff for friends next time. Interesting thing is, that everyone I meet here in Hanoi loves my eRoll with leather extension case, above my Provari and other large devices. Even the guys. They obviously haven't been bitten by the; 'bigger mod is better' bug yet.

I and my wife rarely use our evic or vamo in public, mostly evod/ego twist with evod cartomizer, but still attract attention. Users in the beginning just want to use some look-alike cigarette products. E cigarette is now famous in Vietnam, which almost everybody heard about it, but do NOT trust it. The big problem is that, those e-cig sellers guarantee that. by using their products, you will surely quit smoking in just 3 days, or money back. Of course e-stick is not miracle, and many people believe e-cig is scam. That's hurt.
