I've been researching on a lot of electronic cigarettes for the past few weeks. So far I've established a type of classification system for Mini/Mid Size E-cigs that i'll be using for my project as a reference.

Can anyone provide me with their feedback/insight? (refer to the image below)

Dampmaskin - that's what i'm looking for - however I'm having a hard time finding a good reference to work with.

I'm working on determining which model/brand is more popular in certain regions in the united states (excluding APV). So i'm working on breaking it down to specific models (how specific - i'm not sure yet - still figuring out how complicated it is going to be before i decide on how deep i want to go with this)

Just some thoughts...terminology may vary...

APVs
- Mechanicals
- Variable Voltage / Variable Wattage
- Bottom Feeders

Clearimizer/ClearoTank
- Top Coil
- Bottom Coil

tank Atomizers
- Rebuildables
- - Genesis Style/Top Coil
- - Bottom Coil

Drippers
- Traditional
- - metal carto-like
- Rebuildables

You're kind of mixing together batteries (i.e. starter kits and APV's) with heads. A better categorization (for heads, anyways) might be:

Disposables (all-in-one)
Cartridges
Cartomizers
Clearomizers (TCC's) CE4/5/6,Iclear16,IClear32, etc)
BCC's (EVOD,ProTank,ViviNova,etc)
RBA's (kayfun/Russian/Rocket, etc)
Genesis-style
CartoTanks
Drippers

(Did I miss any basic types?)

Below these you have attributes like Disposable,Coil-Replaceable,Rebuildable

That's kind of how I would lay things out.

I don't think APV falls into this line of classification, it seems to be about the topper and an APV is the body of the device. All those devices can be put on an APV.

Possibly look at it by topper type as in how the e-liquid and wicking gets to the atty.
Cig-A-Likes are small, often have seperate Cartridges from their Atty.
Cartomisers have the atty in the cartridge
Cartotanks have cartos with inbuilt atty's and just add a tank of liquid.
Clearo adds to that with a wick instead of a cartridge of wicking material
Bottom coil clearo's reduce the wick even further within that tank.

Drippers and Bottom Feeding Drippers (or whatever those squonkers are called) is the only other system I can think of.

All of these come in a range of sizes, for example I've seen Cartotanks going from 0.4ml to 8ml, clearos from 1ml to 4ml etc.

Possibly pyrex or plastic tanks as a sub category for each or separate

THANK YOU! This is the type of information I've been looking for - if i have any questions relating to your post - i'll PM you!

Also regarding APV - i never really got a clear idea of how to approach it there is so many on the market - but now i think i get a clear idea (especially the mention of it being more of a "body" rather than the "head" of the device- that explains it really well)

again, thank you!
