I think ruyan is publicly traded on the chinese exchange. Probably a good thing as the market is too volatile, todays big pick is the company everyone ignores tomorrow if they dont have this months popular mod or tank.

Soon as you add investors and board members, focus turns to maximum profits over quality anyways and innovation and risks dissappear.

This is why companies like levi and dell stay private, they can do what they want that way.

Years ago I was big into the Ruyan RAPP. But bad management and quality control killed them off. Their patents were bought buy Imperial tobacco for $75 million.
BTW, the RAPP was an e-cigarette that contained lobelia instead of nicotine, I thought it was great, It delivered a nicotine buzz and helped breathing because it is a natural bronchial dilatator with some anti inflammatory properties. ( think of A COPD inhaler at a fraction of the cost that delivers a nicotine buzz and has no steroids.)
That is a stock I would by if imperial or someone else made one

Found Vapor Corp. on NASDAQ, but trend is in the wrong direction
They've got some interesting stuff according to their Sec filing.

Things like
soft tip filter (more like the cellulose filter of real cigarettes) instead of the hard plastic or metal that most cig look a likes have now. (edit: although I just read that Njoy has had this for the past year so maybe Vapor Corp is trying to patent it to get money from those that use it I dont' know, just thinking outloud as I've read about a lot of patent claims that were done only to go after companies that didn't patent the ideas but went ahead and used them anyway)
An e-cig that can you can shake to charge the battery
A biometric fingerprint scanner to ensure that when you leave your e-cig laying about, your children (or anybody else) won't be able to use it, or if you lose it or it's stolen, it becomes basically useless.

In any event some interesting stuff they've filed patents for.

If NJoy was publicly traded, I would be all over that.

I bought some Ruyan/Dragonite (DGTLF) back in April of 2011 just for fun.
I sold it in January of 2014 shortly after Imperial Tobacco bought them.

Made 30% profit in the end, but most of the time I held it I was pretty far underwater.
And looking at it now, it appears I should have kept on holding it for awhile longer.

I found the patent that covered the RAPP. It now belongs to Vaparia and from the look of their website they are going public and have several other patents.
