Hey BC!!! Johndec from the RG forum here. Another one the Luma put onto ecigs. Check your PM inbox here for the lowdown on vaping in Australia. This forum has some weird rules regarding members with less than 15 posts so if the PM doesn't arrive (it's not showing in my sent box) let me know in this thread and I'll send it to you via the RG PM system.

I've made orders from V4L before and I live in Australia. I believe the illegality lies in the selling of the product and not the possession.

I believe the illegality lies in the selling of the product and not the possession.

As far as I can tell the above statement is more or less true. There is actually an Australian based website that openly will sell you the hardware. However to purchase juice it links you to an overseas site. Hence, I assume, that like for example bongs, it isn't the hardware that is illegal, it's the stuff you stick in it!! There is actually a post on the Australian ecig sub forum that quotes the relevant section of the poisons act regarding e-juice. Fortunately, so far, customs don't appear to have a problem with "personal imports" of e-juice.

So if I wanted to send my mum a couple of VK batteries and carts I have, personal mail, there shouldn't be any issues? What do you put on the customs form??

It shouldn't be an issue as long as you're not sending an amount that could be mistaken for a wholesale purchase. It terms of what to put on the custom forms... I'm not too sure, but previous purchases I have made from China have said 'gift'?
