I wish these reporters were a little smarter. Of course they wouldn't be reporters if they were. When the anti-vaping person interviewed made the point that nicotine is a poison, why didn't the reporter follow-up with the comment/question, "then nicotine patches/gum, etc are dangerous also, yet you recommend these in your smoking cessation therapy".
But news media can't be both "for-profit" and honest... can it? Paying more people to do real investigating would cut into ad revenue and reverse recent trends. Being greedy and honest without being sensational would look something like this:
"Is vaping going to destroy America's youth? Find out at 11!"
