I haven't used e-cigs very long and found this topic earlier today. I read several threads about flavors and diacetyl but didn't find complete answer.

FlavorArt is using diacetyl....very small amounts. How about Dekang and Totally Wicked?

I really like e-cigs as an alternative to analogs and snus but more I read this forum.....more I find health issues that makes me think if it's really good to use e-cigs. I haven't been smoker....I started vaping because I wanted to get rid of snus. Should I go back to snus and vape only when drinking....good questions.....

If anyone can give me as complete answer as possible about diacetyl and e-juice. Thx.

FA uses some in theres but not all of the ones they have its listed on their site what ones have it in them. Not sure on whether Dekang and Totally is. The amounts if used are found to be minute traces and there isnt really any scientific studies showing if it is dangerous in Ecigs. Almost all are using caution like yourself and looking to avoid it.

When beer is made, it contains diacetyl. More diacetyl (lends a buttery taste) is a characteristic of a few types of beer (English Pale Ales).

It is also used in artificial butter.

It is hazardous when heated and inhaled, however, the only known case of bronchiolitis obliterans in a consumer (not a popcorn plant employee) was in a guy who ate 2 bags of microwave popcorn a day for 10 years. They found levels of diacetyl in his kitchen to be on par with popcorn factories.

i highly doubt minute traces will cause a big health risk. What's a little diacetyl when you just stopped inhaling arsenic, cyanide and tar???
