While just starting out, I've read in several places of the dangers / risks some juices pose to plastic tanks. Some of the articles I've read refer to the "darker" E-juices as being the culprits, though I have yet to actually find anything that defines what physically causes the "juice" to be detrimental. The nicotine level? The VG / PG ratio? Flavors? Atm, I have an PT-2 (glass tank)and an iClear30 (plastic). I'm pretty sure everyone wants their gear to last as long (between replacements) as possible so, with that in mind, would it just be a safe/good idea to use the PT-2 for the "darker / heavier" juices and just use my iClear 30 for lighter juices ? Or does that sound like overkill ?

I will not say that never happens, but I have used a lot of juice in a lot of plastic tanks, including iClear 30 and 30S, and never had even a hint of a problem.

Even a vendor who warned against dark juices in his product, when pressed, could not define what a dark juice was.

Given that tanks cost less than a bottle of juice, I am not worrying until I have a problem.

A lot depends on the plastic used for the tank. I have been using lemon, orange and grapefruit juice in my original, genuine Vision ViviNova tanks for over a year with no cracking or other deformation. I don't vape any other "known" tank crackers, so YMMV. Different flavorings, used by different suppliers can also make a huge difference, don't think there's one set answer.
