My father wants to make his 24mg store bought juice into 36mg or so.. and experiment a little
We are not good with math, at all, is there a calculator for this?

I told him if he mixes them 1:1 he'll get 62mg... I use to know how to do the math and I know it's real simple but I've forgotten how it's done

The calculators I found online assume we're mixing from 0

Thanks!!

I am terrible at math...

Someone sent this to my father

Take all 30ml of 24mg and mix in 5.62ml of 100mg. That will give you 35.6ml of 36mg in total.
That will cut your flavoring down about 16% weaker, so you need to get a strong flavor to start with.

So can he do this:

30 ml 24mg + 5.62 ml 100mg = 35.62ml 36mg

30ml /4=7.500 ml x 20drops =150drops
5.62ml /4=1.405 ml x 20drops =28.1drops

7.5ml+1.405ml=8.905ml

Is this correct?
150 drops 24mg + 28 drops 100mg = 8.9ml 36mg

Thanks!!

Not to be a downer, I don't know how old your dad is, but my husband is 55 with some artery calcification, which is normal for a smoker of 40 years. I just don't know how safe 36 mg would be for someone who may have some damage from smoking - its going to really work the heart. Maybe it would be better if he stuck with the 24 mg and then made a bottle of plain 36 mg for when he just needs a few hits of something stronger.

What equipment is he using? Maybe he needs a solid 3.7v device to deliver his 24 mg more effectively?

You're absolutely right NicLiq! Measuring 100 mg/ml solution using drops is just dangerous, really dangerous. My idea would be even simpler:

first: dilute 100 mg solution 50/50 (you'll get 50 mg/ml base)
and then
cut that 50 mg base with 24 mg 50/50

You'd get in 37 mg/ml solution which is quite close to the requested 36 mg/ml.
Plain and simple.

Of course all the dilutions should be done using pipettes or syringes. And very carefully with 100 mg base - it's really dangerous. 1 ml (approx. 20 drops) may easily kill an adult.

That makes perfect sense... Levy at xtreme vaping says the same thing, it's not reliable to measure in drops, especially considering different thicknesses of juices, etc..

My father has been warned to not use juice too strong, because he has had a lot of heart problems, getting him to listen is a whole different story

I just would like to know what is worse... him going crazy on the 24 trying to get his fix, or letting him go with 36 (which he's been using for some time, now)

I'm sure 36 mg is way better than smoking, but if you could talk him into making 36 his morning juice or something, that might help.

If my dad was still around, I know he would be vaping 48 mg and drinking some juice on the side to boost it (IF I could have gotten him to switch).
