I found this forum while searching for ways to make my own E-juice, something I would like to do for personal use only, my wife and I both use E-cigs but would like to lower cost some by making our own, not to mention the benifit of always having it on hand, and not having to worry weather your juice will make it befor you run out! So I am going to try to learn the use of this forum, and hope I can learn to make my own. I live in a small town in the moutains of Az. so I don't have access to the big stores in Phx. we have a walmart and one small phamacy, so I need to find out what I need to get to start making my own juice. I hope I have found a good resource here.

I think most people get their supplies on line for DIY.

From an ecig supplier in their DIY section or other reputable vendors, you will need:
- VG, PG, PEG400 or a mix without nicotine
- PG, VG or a mix with nicotine (a concentration that is higher tha what you vape at the moment)
- From ecig suppliers or specialized site such as perfumer's apprentice, you will need flavors
- From ecig supplier or other specialized places, you will also need a pipette (graduated), a graduated cylinder, or a syringe to measure the components of the juice.
- Containers such as bottles to keep your juice in (unless you recycle the ones you got with your current juice supplier.

If you are comfortable with math, you can start experimenting with different mixes and maintain the desired concentration of nicotine and PV/VG mix you like.

If you are less comfortable with math, you can find (on this site and others) recipes that you can follow to mix you juice.

I highly recommend a visit to the DIY section of this site.

DIY E Liquid is definitely the way to go price wise. It is alot cheaper to buy the ingredients and it really is not hard to do. There are online "e liquid calculators" such as the one here
E Liquid Calculator - DIY E Liquid Mixing Calculator
So you dont even have to be good at maths as you just enter how much you want to make in total and the strength of the base nicotine mixture you will be using, then it tells you how many drops or ml of the other ingredients, like propylene glycol and flavour to use.

Perfumers Apprentice flavours, as mentioned in the previous post, are really nice! Most people use a 54mg base nicotine solution and just mix that with propylene glycol. Some people add other diluents to the mix, but a simple basic mix is just PG, 54mg nicotine base and flavour.

Make sure you get pharma grade ingredients. Most online e liquid stores can provide those.

Thank you for your reply, I go trout fishing up by Payson no and again, so I get to see some nice places when I just start up a creek! Do you know if there is a forum here for making your own? I have not been able to find it on my own yet, sometimes I get lost in these things!:D

Yup, right here:

I tried a straight VG mix today at an ECF meet and it was a lot smoother than the PG/VG mixes. Are there any potential pros/cons to 100 VG instead of the 60/40 PG/VG mix?

As far as I know, VG is great but a bit too viscous. It will not wick very well. You will need to add a bit of distilled water to get the right consistency.
