E Liquid Goes Darker ???

I have a ego CE4 with a clearomizer. I am vaping RY4 which is a medium pale-ish yellow colour. For the last couple of days I have been refilling when the clearomizer gets about half empty. I have noticed that my fluid is getting darker. it is turning brown almost to the colour of golden syrup.

I amnot aware if this is going to be a problem or not. It tastes the same. I am just curious as to why this is happening. I am wondering if it is a build up of something that the wicks are struggling to absorb.

Anyone have or know what this is?

It's just mixing previous juices. I mix raspberry/cotton candy and a menthol flavor..all are clear in the bottles, but after thirty minutes of seeping, it's like a dark maple color. It's nothing to be worried about. As long as it tastes good and you're not getting a chemical taste, you're fine.
Some times build up can happen, just remember to clean your tanks and atty's during the week to prevent that.

Some of the juice is "burned", not vaporized, and turns dark. By refilling continuously, it will get progressively darker. As mentioned above, nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't impair the taste.

Refilling when about half or 3 /4 down is generally a good idea with the CE4 / Stardusts, as it can prevent dry hits due to wicking issues. But after doing that 3 or 4 times, it's also good to vape it down to (nearly) empty (twirl it in you fingers to keep the wicks wet and get the last bits...), then take it apart and clean it.

Washback is an issue. Washback means the gunk from your previous juice is seeping into your new filled juice. Gunk problems usually can be solved or at least alleviated by upping the voltage so your coil burns hotter. But not too much - your silica wicks cant handle much more than 8W.

I dry burn silica wicks regularly. That means the coil becomes hot enough to glow. After that the wicks perform just fine. What makes you say these wicks can not handle more than 8 W, or do you mean they do not wick fast enough to move enough juice to handle more than 8 W in use?

The dark gunk is boiled and reboiled remnants of prior tanks of juice, the sweetners added will be in it also.

If you keep adding to low levels of juice remaining in your tank it will always darken the new juice added. After a few days of reusing the clearo over and over by filling its BEST to rinse it out with hot water and then toss it in a bowl of distilled water for a few hours. Then just leave it on a towel, rag or paper towel to dry out. If you plan on changing flavors do a dry burn at low voltage (3- 3.6v) to get the coil glowing orange.
