I'm a Camel No9, non-menthol smoker. Or rather, I was. I bought a DSE901 from Totally Wicked and kinda like the generic flavor in the cartridges it comes with. I also bought a sampler pack from Johnson Creek, assuming giving the professional appearance, that they would provide a good, quality product.

Instead, everything in the sampler pack tastes like burnt coffee with a very slight hint of what it's supposed to be (confirmed by the fact that unless someone was told what the flavor was supposed to be, they couldn't identify it at all). I was unfortunate to get a small amount on my hands...it's all I smell anymore and it's making me nauseous.

Needless enough to say, now I'm very hesitant to hand over my credit card any more.

Can anyone recommend a smooth, mellow eliquid that isn't sickly sweet or just nasty? I'm almost out of the generic cartridges and hate the idea of going back to analogs.

To save the "coffee" taste liquids that you have, try mixing about 1/3 vanilla flavor with them to smooth them some.

My best and I actually tried that. But it's not the coffee part of the flavor that bothers me...it's the 'burnt' part that is making me gag. I just wish I could get the taste out of my atty (tried everything, an overnight drain, blowing gently through it, dripping the liquid I DO like).

They're going back as soon as JCOSJ confirms that I can return them.

The only thing I can think of to suggest is soaking the attys in everclear or vodka, or in coke, rinsing well with water then blowing them out, let them dry for several hours then drip in a couple drops of something you like.

RJP...you are awesome. I'll definitely give this a try when I get home. I just took a new atty with me to work today...gotta love breaking one in when all you want is the first smoke of the day. :(

I myself use alcohol with a dropper, about 15 drops, rinse with water and let dry, or use a hair dryer. This is most suppliers will tell you to do also.
