E-liquid poll - DIY or not?

I'm interested in how many people now DIY their e-liquids compared to those who only buy ready mixed, and also any views on why you do or don't choose to mix your own.

By DIY e-liquid I mainly mean buying unflavoured nicotine base, flavouring etc. and mixing it yourself to your own taste. But if anyone makes their own tobacco extractions from scratch or something, that would be interesting to hear about.

Personally I started making DIY liquid towards the end of last year, but still do buy some mixed juice. I've more or less totally moved over to DIY stuff now, mainly because it's nice to be able to mix up whatever flavour combination in whatever strength you want, and also it can be a lot cheaper.

I bought the scents of Flavourart and of Health Cabin, I have 24mg of unflavoured, but do not know because I tried to do a DIY mixture and it was horrible ... I deaminated

Bad luck. I think my first efforts were not very good too, although they improved after a few days of standing. It can take some practice to get a feel for what works and what doesn't. What flavours did you get?

After the first couple of weeks I decided to jump into DIY for a couple of reasons:
Every month I cut two mg off my mg per ml
cheaper
Much more of a variety
I can adapt the flavor to my taste
more convenient and don't have to worry about running out

Works for me.........

I am a horrible mixer lol. The only juice I ever made that was any good was Mountain Dew. I like the dessert and candy bar flavors and they are way out of my mixing capabilities

I had a hard time answering your poll but I'll tell you what I do. For the most part, I buy my liquids pre-mixed. However, I have a couple of recipes that I DIY. My neighbor is struggling financially, which makes it hard for her to buy liquids. She loves one of my mixes, and since it's cheap to make, I mix her a big batch when she's running low. I have a bunch of nic juice left over in my freezer so it's no problem for me to make us up something if we want a change of pace.

If you had the option: If you DIY and buy....that's what I would have chosen. But I picked: I've tried DIY, but don't any more (which in my case, is true but isn't)

I haven't tried DIY mixing but I am however doing research on recipes and what not so when I decide to dive into it, I'll be prepared and have a great understanding. I however love to support juice vendors so I will continue to buy mixed juice either way.

It took me a long time to find a good recipe. I've tried so many nasty ones that I almost gave up. Right now I have several good ones that weened me off of pre-mixed juices.
The juice is dead, long live the DIY juice.
Don't give up, keep on trying until you find your perfect mix.

I have several brands of concentrate flavoring and find that I like the FlavourArt the best. Mind you, this is MY favorite, to each his own.

There is no way I will ever be able to create as good of juice as my favorite vendors do. But I will soon start trying a little DIY. Copying others recipes at first, and maybe adding a flavor.

I found that the success of a good ejuice is NOT to try to copy/recreate a vendors pre-mix ejuice but to come up with your own or recommended recipe.

I use only DIY since one year. After a while of experimenting I found my perfect and all day DIY mix.
Problems I had before with the a lot premixed ones: perfumed by tastes, strange smells. Maybe there are better ones now. But now I have found my perfect owm mix....I don't have the urge to search further and don't do it. Beyond that I am almost 100% sure it's good quality. It tastes good, everyday and 24/7.

At the moment i only buy pre-made juices. But i will be DIY mixing towards the end of they year as i have a juice order at the moment that will last me till then. Until then, i will read all the posts like this one, soaking up all the information i can.

As a former bartender I have found that I am quite good at choosing complementary flavors for DIY. I DIY the flavors mixes I crave but can't find but also buy e-liquid as well. I am finding more and more that my DIY liquids are just as good as the pre-mixed stuff so I'm DIYing more.

I diy and buy and tweak (diy what I buy) when a juice is not quite right. I haven't found a premade juice yet that I will buy again, although many were decent, but I have several repeat diy recipes. I have a few juice orders coming in this week (fingers crossed!), so maybe that will change. I like diy because it's fun and economical, but I would love to have a juice knock my socks off to the point I would pay without a sale on!
