You can mix any juice you like with one thing to remember. Higher VG juices will have a harder time getting in the wicking. This results in dry hits and burnt coils. So keep the PG ratio to about 30% and it should work fine in any tank.
I'm on a 1.8 coil and I don't think the wicking took to kindly with putting in juice that was already had a juice previously in the wicking it resulted in the coil acting faulty and dry hits.

To me, that doesn't sound like it should have been a problem unless the switch was a very high VG juice. 75% or above. How much power are you using? Too many watts can dry the coil too quickly and so can too much air flow. This is why so many people started dripping. I love my tanks and use them daily but you sound like you're craving more everything and that's understandable.

To phrase it differently, your tank is unaware of the flavor nor does it 'like' or dislike any difference in juices. The viscosity as a result of PG/VG levels will effect performance as well as vapor production. Depending on how much use the tank has seen, the symptom you you described could be coincident with the need for a fresh coil.
