Infant formula is the only thing that actually has a use-by date regulated by the FDA. Any other date you ever see on anything is a recommendation from the manufacturer (under guidelines from the FDA)

As e-juice is not (yet) regulated by the FDA, many people say 1 year. But honestly, if you smell the juice and it does not seem rancid or spoiled, you are probably ok to vape it. The nicotine may have oxidized, the juice may be different, but it will most likely be safe.

I've seen some say on the DIY forums that freezing nic liquid preserves it indefinitely. I don't know if this also applies to premixed flavored juice.

I've had juice that's a bit older then two years old be just fine that's stored away from sunlight and heat. So far haven't had juice longer then a few months beyond two years so I have no idea how much longer it would have continued to be just fine. So far the only juice that I've deemed unvapeable (ones tasting nasty from the beginning don't count ;) ) happened because it accidentally got left in the car in the sunlight and heat when it was only a few weeks old.
