Hello all!

I just wanted to explain that I don't usually join forums and such due to a lack of interest and time, and because I generally believe there's an answer to pretty much any question I can ever have on the internet. (within reason) But this is something I discovered for myself and couldn't find an answer. Today I got amazing results with a recent switch, so I wanted to share the experience!

I was smoking V2 e-cigs for a while until the batteries broke. I did get new replacements, but they started overcharging and I burnt 7 of my last cartomizers within approximately a week. (Self-filled ones, and I would like to note I didn't have a problem like that before!) They did end up letting me not return the first 2 broke batteries as I live in the Dominican Republic as of a year now for work reasons, so shipping the old ones back would cost me the same as buying new ones to be shipped here. Not to say anything bad about V2 - I was a long-time satisfied customer, but I realized I just can't stick with them.

I discovered through a friend and a family member that they sell E-Hookahs (I believe that's that the big batteries with clearomizers are categorized as) and so I ventured to find one and actually did buy one that regulates the power from 3.2 ohm to 4.8 ohm, with 2 bottles of 10ml e-liquid of some Italian making.

Now, I had a lot left over from V2 Red 24 mg and V2 Green Tea Mint 24 mg, and bought the Italian Coffee 24 mg, and a 18 mg Mint. I come home, charge it up a bit, prepare it all, and start vaping.

It was horrific. I couldn't understand why my lungs kept feeling way too heavy after a few puffs of the 18 mg menthol one, so I tried the coffee. Same thing. Red. Same thing. Green Tea Mint. The last was ripping my lungs apart in mintiness. I couldn't understand why, so I tried dry burning the coils, and removing an extra wick, and even tried dilluting them with just distilled water (which isn't a great idea, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone) - with no success.

I couldn't understand why with this new device the seeming JUST RIGHT 24 mg and a supposed lighter 18 mg liquid would feel so bad. I kept thinking that it's the devices fault for being so strong, with oddly 3.2 barely producing any smoke and 4.8 feeling like it's burning the liquid. So I stumbled upon the topic of steeping, which is done for completely different reasons, but my V2 PG juices and mixed PG/VG juices were left overnight to steep. Caps open, and just sitting there on the kitchen table. I don't what exactly did the trick - the alcohol evaporating or the very high humidity in here doing the trick, but the smells became more subtle, and I am smoking the 18 mg menthol right now at 4.8 and while the a-liquid by itself sucks to be honest (cheap thing) it is VAPORABLE! (new words ...) I have yet to try to others, but I feel I'm going to have a good experience. It's just odd that when I was smoking the V2's in cartomizers I didn't have this issue. Lots of smoke at 3 ohms with a nice throat hit and great flavor, but soon as I got this eGo twist 6500 I started having these problems.

I will try to keep this updated and answer any questions! Thanks and happy vaping! :)

Email the vendor and ask how long they usually require a juice to be steeped. This isn't a new practice (not to be a snob..) but moving forward, always the vendor or read the description. Pre-Steeped means that it's good to go out of the box, but if it needs to be steeped which these sound like they do...I recommend at least 3 - 5 days in a closet. UV light tends to burn off nicotine...

You also probably want to go pre-steeeped moving forward if you don't wanna wait that long.

Totally agree, but the issue here was that I never had these issues when smoking from V2 cartomizers and batteries (the thin stick ones). The issue arose only after buying my eGo twist 650mah (I apologize about making a mistake in the name in my original post). It's like all of a sudden both old and new e-liquid became too heavy on my lungs. There wasn't much of a discomfort in the throat or anything - just the terrible heaviness on the lungs.
But I definitely notice the difference even after steeping a little amount of the Italian Menthol, which made me come here in the first place, and smoking that slightly steeped V2 Red and feeling MUCH better. Regardless, the issue was solved for me in an odd way, so I just wanted to share.

Thanks for your input, gentlemen! :)

P.S.: My uncle, who is one of the people I mentioned that referred me to buy one of the local e-hookahs, doesn't steep these juices FOR SURE (older Armenian guy, doesn't get too technical with anything) and was smoking his slightly less powerful e-hookah for a while. I actually just remembered he was complaining about it burning his lungs, which could have actually meant anything...I'll also ask the other friend if he does anything special with his juices, since his strawberry smelled DELICIOUS when he first got it and he didn't seem to have any issues. I might post an update if I find out what he does with this Italian juice to see if the problem lies with it.
