So it seems some of my liquid went bad, I don't think any were older than a month or so. How I figured this out is that liquids from different companies ended up having the same taste.

I had a very poorly tasting pomegranate from Liberty Flights. I smoked it for 1 fill and really it tasted like chewing green leaves, very bitter and overall unpleasant. At first i thought maybe it would grow on me as some others have, or I just didn't like the liquid. Then the cantelope I had from madvapes (topvapes) turned into the exact same nasty flavor. I ended up pouring the rest of it out. Shortly after the cherry cola from liberty flights I had also took on the same exact flavor. Now both the cantelope and cherry cola tasted just like their name implies when I got them, and I had smoke about half a 5ml bottle. And I went through regular cola from liberty flights with no problem either (very similar in taste)

So what gives? Is this some ingredient or flavor. I'd really like to not repeat this with any larger bottles. Dumping half a 5ml bottle out isn't a big deal, but I'd likely be pist if I the same happened to a 30ml. Not only that I'm a bit apprehensive now about ordering larger quantities.

I found that with juice and I think its our progression in vaping. I will mix up a caramel and love it but after a few hours I need to change to something else because it will loose TH or the TH gets to strong... I can then pick it up a little while later and it's fine.

I keep two 6ml juice bottles with me while dripping to change it up. I don't think I could get used to one juice all the time.

Funny with analogs we had our brand and stuck with it. Vaping is different for me at least.

You're new to vaping. Your taste buds are going through a transition. Don't throw anything away! Leave it to the side and it should start tasting better anywhere from the next day to a week from now. It doesn't sound like it's anything to do with the vendors.
I've been vaping for a couple months now I think I I'm past that point for the most part, I've experienced the flavor changes in some of the other liquids, both from like->dislike and dislike->like and just noticing additional flavors in them. I could possibly agree with you if they all didn't turn into the same tasting concoction.
Are you sure there isn't just some nasty taste in your atomizer?
Yeah pretty sure they also smell the very similar as they taste now as well. I'd be able to identify them just by smell. It's nothing reminiscent of the original flavor. I use the same 2-3 ce2's and wash them every 3 or so uses normally they only give a dry burn type taste when near empty empty and a burning flavor type taste when the coil gets dirty on the 4th or so use without cleaning. Both nothing like this.

Definitely agree with you here. Variety is the one of my favorite things about vaping.

Well we do go through cycles of juice tasting weird, but this is just a little strange. It's obviously not vendor related since it's more than one.... where do you store your juices?

Agreed. Weird that it's multiple vendors taking on the same flavor - it points more toward equipment problems. Definitely not something I've experienced.

I'm not certain this is a cycle, it could be that this flavor has always been in there and I have just began to recognize it. I was incorrect before and there is some residual smell of the original flavor, but not at all when vaping. I.e. I get the slightest hint of cola from the cherry cola, but the cherry is all gone. In chocolate creme I still smell the creme part but the chocolate isn't there. I store them out on my desk, and this batch has been shaken before each use.

I think you need to try samplers from a couple of the following vendors:

FSUSA
Backwoods Brew
Vapor Bomb
Kick Bass Vapor

The bottom 3 are my favorites but I could not leave out one of the most popular juices makers.
Thanks, I actually have BWB juices which are awesome, and vaperite juices on the way since BWB isn't taking orders right now. These are mostly my in-between type juices and for mixing, I've had them before I discovered BWB.

I'm just curious what the hell is going on with them. I just can't imagine they always had this flavor and I never tasted it because it's so nasty. Actually what prompted this, another thread had someone reviewing BWB 555,which i love, but they said was unsmokable. Turns out they had either a bad batch or the juice went bad. I'm suspecting the juice went bad like mine has. I'm mostly worried about ordering too much stuff and having it go bad like this.

I have had this same problem or (rotten carrot) flavor as I describe it before from a few vendors seemed to be around week and a half to two weeks into the bottle even kept in the fridge a coworker that vapes had the same thing all different flavors and different vendors but him and I did notice the same flavors and the same smell behind the origanal when they were new. To try and see if it was hardware we both got new attys and tryed the same flavors and got the same taste I dont know what its from but I know what places I found it and just avoid ordering there at this point. I dont know if this will help but I do know if it is the same flavor we got from our liquids its not hardware.

I'm wondering if it's the vendor that they get their flavorings from. LF uses FlavourArt's flavorings and FSUSA does also. I've not had trouble with FSUSA. I ordered 2 5ml bottles from LF to try. I'm glad I didn't order more for right now. I will give these a try in a couple more days and report back. I know taste is subjective but time will tell if they are bad or not. Sorry to hear that you've had problems. Did you contact the vendors about it?

Well that rules out what I was wondering, which is whether or not you were storing them in the refrigerator. That will definitely make flavored juices go bad. (notice I say flavored. Unflavored is a different story.)

Considering the number of board members we have that hoard juice, I have never heard of juice not stored in a fridge go bad, even in a year of storage... well, short of one particular vendor that the juice started looking funny for a period of time, but I think that was resolved. Personally, I've got stuff that's been sitting here for 8 months with no nasty taste change. So, if it's not vendor, equipment or taste related, I'm just not sure what to tell you. Like Godzilla said, try ordering more from the board's top vendors, and good luck.

Never, ever, ever store your flavored juice in the fridge. One of our members that happens to be a chemist figures it's something to do with the flavorings themselves, but it does cause juices to go "off". Flavored juices should only be stored in a cool dark area of your home. Unflavored juices which you aren't opening and reclosing a lot, like for DIY, can be stored in the fridge. Unopened bottles of unflavored with little to no headroom can be frozen for long term storage.

Edited to add: Please though, keep in mind that if there are children in the house, even just visiting occasionally, that nicotine kept in the fridge is an invitation to disaster. If there are kids around at any time, make sure to keep nicotine based products out of their reach.

There is a thread somewhere about the causes of refrigeration. Simply put, refrigeration causes condensation, in turn, your juice will likely go bad.

Put your good ones in a box and store them out of sunlight and in a cool place like a basement. I've had juice last a long time without going bad doing this.
