I was scheptical of the whole electronic cigarette thing but after trying and failing to quit so many times I was at a loss. I even went to the doctor and had a course of NRT (patches on prescription basically) but the longest I ever managed to quit for was six months. Then one day while walking to work I saw that one of the shops I passed was selling Red brand electronic cigarettes and I thought what the hell, I'll give it a try. They were big heavy things and unreliable but as a proof of concept they weren't bad, unfortunately they couldn't compete with real cigarettes and I ended up smoking them whenever they were available.

Then a friend recommended E-Lites and I started looking into the electronic cigarette thing a bit more, including this forum, and decided to give it another go. Well, my starter kit turned up this morning and all I can say is, I'm impressed. They are so much better than the disposable ones I was using that it's almost a joke. I still have half a pack of analogues (picking up the lingo here!) but they will probably end up in the bin. I am over the moon to have discovered this product.

I expect there are better vaping products available and maybe in time I will look into them but for convenience and experience I am bowled over by the E-Lites and actually look forward to using them. Just moments after my first experience I was online ordering more carts and batteries and I feel it is worth every penny. I really can't imagine myself going back to analogues again. This really does feel like a fresh start.

congrats! dont be TOO hard on yourself for smoking an analog when beginning to get into vaping....MANY members here came to use ecigs just to "cut down" (including myself), and eventually converted to vaping full time....without even trying too hard -.-; after vaping for a while..cigarettes just end up tasting nasty...and you end up just picking up your PV more and more often.

ask away if you have questions...this place is almost too friendly..lol. everyone is willing to help.

and ya, eventually youre gonna want one of the big boys (a mod or ego/riva) lol, but enjoy what youre workin with in the meanwhile

and also...the juice is VERY important...this imo isnt stressed enough to new vapors. youre not going to enjoy vaping as much until you find some juice you really like...which unfortunately costs alot of money -.-;

Congrats in the change to ecigs fella, it can be a bit of a stressful and confusing trasnisition at first but if you stick with it you'll be ok! Not tried the elites myself though have seen them being sold arond London tube stations on promotion etc, they look decent enough. Anythings better than an analogue though. Happy vaping!

Congrats to you on discovering a much healthier addiction. Personally, I never really enjoyed the taste of stink sticks...so the flavors of the different juices, etc really don't matter that much to me. But the longer I vape and stay away from the analogs, the more I can really taste the juices and their intricate flavorings. For instance, I got a bottle of menthol juice when I ordered my sparkplug. At first it tasted like butter with a hint of mint. After being off of stinky sticks, I now taste a ton of menthol!

Welcome, and congrats on the switch! Don't worry too much about diving into the pool too quickly. If the E-cig works for you and gets you to chuck the analogues, you're already ahead of the game. There's a great big cloudy world of E-cigs out there if you want to start poking around but the important thing is that you've finally found one that works for you, and now you can go at whatever pace you find comfortable or just stick with your E-lites. Part of the fun I think of the world of E-cigs is the fun of exploring the various ways and means to enjoy it, and now that you know it's possible to really kick analogues with these, you can go about that however you like.

Plus, this has been an awesome and helpful community both to help you get the most out of what you have and help you decide where go to next if you get a bit of E-cig wanderlust. :)

Vaping really is a fresh start. If I can do it after 37 years on analogs anyone can. It is just a matter of perseverance to find the right kit and the right juice. Once you do that vaping so much more pleasureable than smoking with just about all the advantages of not smoking at all. Well done for giving it another shot, keep trying, don't give up, you can do it. Hundreds, thousands of us have and the number is growing by the day. Welcome to ECF and vaping :)

I tried a brand called AirE8. It was pretty bad and I was going back to analogs when I bumped into OldGoat. He posts on this forum selling his mods. He also lives in my hometown. I was so impressed with his device I haven't smoked since.

You find the right device and the right juice and it makes a world of difference.
