Some days ago I bought an e-pipe (601, starter kit) and received it the day before yesterday. I read the instruction very carefully, left the battery charging overnight (14 hours) and on the following day inserted the charged battery, put a high-nicotine cartridge from the kit and tried. It was really-really great! A perfect imitation of real pipe smoking. However, a few hours later my enjoyment came to an end. I tried the pipe at 7 AM and after a couple of pipes (by 10 AM) I noticed that there is much less "smoke" than it had been earlier. I felt I couldn't smoke enough. As the time was passing, the amount of "smoke" kept decreasing. By the end of the working day I hardly could get from the pipe one single puff.
I thought it was because of the battery, but when I got home, I replaced the battery with the other one from the kit (which was charged by that time, too). No effect. Then I added some drops of e-liquid. No effect at all. Then I took another cartridge from the kit and tried it. And all was fine: plenty of "smoke", real feeling of smoking. But after some hours all the story repeated exactly as it was with the 1st cartridge.
To this moment I am sitting with two cartridges that can only give a single puff and trying to understand what's wrong.
It is definitely not the battery - unless both batteries from the kit were broken from the very beginning. It is not the amount of the liquid in the cartridges, because I can see that the gel there is wet. Than what can this be?

I wouldn't like to return the purchase to the seller. I like it and I want to use it. But it doesn't work as it is supposed to.

If anyone can help, please-please do...

Can you post pics of this setup?

Are the cartridges actually a cartomizer, consisting of the heating element surrounded by filler and e-juice?

No, as far as I understand. For the 601 there is no cartomizer, just an ampule filled with a gel.

Sounds to me the heating elements are wearing out quickly and not vaporizing the juice.
Sounds logical. But what can be done?

First I want to welcome you to ECF. You have come to the right place for info. I am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along shortly. I've never tried an e-pipe but would think it would work along the lines of an e-cig. It just sounds to me like your juice delivery ampule is empty. If it is anything like an e-cig cart or carto it won't last very long. Some suppliers say they last about as long as a pk of smokes but that isn't anywhere near correct. Could be the same with the e-pipe delivery system.
