I'm thinking about buying my dad an E-pipe for his birthday.
I've been trying to convert him but not pushing hard.
Thought it would be a good way for him to dabble a little.

When I was a kid I remember him having a collection of pipes.

I'm hoping he would pick up the e-pipe at home and realize, hey this is alright and then move to an ego setup.

It kind of goes against my beliefs of buying or giving people gear.
I kind of feel you have to want it, buy it and buy it again to give yourself that kick start you need.
Just don't feel you're fully invested if someone just gives it to you.

Anyway the only reasonable kit I've found is the Vaporgirl CEO Dragon. Anyone have one --if so how is it.

Looking for under $100 for everything.

Thanks
Tim

I've been looking at the same one. Unfortunately I can't find any information at all about it, other than it takes 18350, and has an automatic switch. I'm not even sure if it's a 510 connection, or if the carto tank is reusable with any carto of the correct length (and what length carto it uses). I'm half tempted to just buy it anyway and see, it kind of looks a lot like a slightly modified DSE601C, which if so, means it should be 510 connection. If the pipe body is in fact a 601C, the main problems they've had are that the switch can get juice in it and stick, some people have had luck soaking it to clean it, others not so much. But considering the connector looks to be pretty flush with the stem and not recessed, it seems less likely that it will be a problem. I think I just convinced myself to buy it, why not, just for kicks.

I don't know much about it, but the Dragon looks like a good option aside from the auto-switch, and I think the King E-Pipe is another good mass-produced, affordable option that has a manual switch. I don't own either, but they look solid. My only advice on cheaper pipes would be that a manual switch is much better because it won't wear out as quickly, and don't get anything that requires proprietary cartos -- versatility is key. If you're willing to spend a little more, I strongly recommend a Jazz or Isis from GA Tech, or a Steam Pipe from ePipeMods. Both companies produce handmade works of art that are very dependable and allow you to use a range of different devices on them. Pipes go on sale at GA Tech every week or two (just keep your eye on this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...pplier-forum/161583-510-e-pipe-cartopipe.html), and new pipes are usually added on Fridays at ePipeMods.

Eh, I ended up going with the madvapes Diablo mini 18350 "e-pipe." I put the e-pipe in quotations because while it does vaguely resemble a pipe, once you have the thing in hand it really just kind of looks like an odd pseudo-pipe-like batt mod. Not to say it doesn't feel absolutely divine in hand, because it does. Problem is it seems made rather cheaply, and with a 55 dollar price tag that's not exactly what I want to see. But it's cute, fun, functional and scratches that pipe itch. Still keeping an eye on that dragon ceo though, and have the king on the way.
