You asked and we got it done...we now have e-POWER Replaceable Battery eGo spare kits available for use with 14500 batteries.

The size is the same but the tubes now accept the unbiquitous 14500 battery. Find them in the e-POWER section. Right now they are only available as spare e-POWER kits and that means they include the tube in all three colors, new black rubberized paint finish, stainless steel and titanium. You also get a matching cone and the e-POWER 3.7v regulated PCB switch.

These also can accept a 14650 battery but it takes a little force to push them down into the tube and then screw the switch into them. But the factory demoed for us and it can be done sucessfully (of course, for ease of use, the 14650 tubes, also available on the site in spare kit and full kit form, will be easier to use for 14650 battery insertion)

thanks for the heads up! i'll be looking to add that to my cart as soon as I can! i cant wait till i got the epower from yall! ordered it a couple of days ago...and stalking the mailman! lol i gotta say the adaptability of this pv is really what drew me to it! As a pretty new vaper, the idea of sticking to one format and one type really made me hold off on purchasing anything more than my npro xpress. but with this and hopefully the variable volt adaptation, i can keep reusing and adding to the epower! that's awesome! that totally fits with my sort of frugal sensibilities (i hate the word frugal cuz it sounds so negative but ill use it now lol prefer the respectfully not wasteful word, whatever that may be). Tahnks again for your help with my questions too b4 i purchased the epower. look forward to buying from yall again!

Hey Danno - found the 14500 spare kits (didn't find the batts) - once again, what will the advantage be in that the mAh rating for the 14500 is lower than that for the 14650?? - will the 14500 be available as a complete kit (batts, charger, etc) in the future?? - thanks

For now we are just offering it as a spare kit...the advantage is for those who have asked as they have a stock pile of 14500 batteries. With the 14500 tube you can actually fit a 14650 battery but its not as convenient as the standard 14650 tube. The spring is larger to make sure the 14500 makes contact so you need to press down with some force to make the 14650 fit but it can be done without alot of drama.

not to sound stupid or anything, i really think this is cool, but what is the point of buying this for 22 bucks or whatever it costs when sealed batteries are basically 11 bucks? I mean I know its replacable, but factor in the cost of batteries and I don't see the point, maybe I"m missing something here?

I have a couple of 14500 batteries and a charger so this would be great, it just seems to be about 10 dollars higher than it should be when the units that are sealed with batteries are 11-12 dollars. what is the failure rate on these? that concerns me as well because if it fails, you have no device.

These are much better quality overall than standard Chinese knock-off ego batteries.

These are 3.7v Regulated through the PCB switch - that means you can always rely on 3.7v until the battery dies. eGos are generally 3.2v.

The paint is ceramic and won't peel - very nice quality feel to the whole thing.

Also anything on the body is replaceable. Failure rate is exactly why this can make sense as if the battery fails you just swap out batteries not toss the whole unit....if the switch fails you can get just the switch (although at this early stage we haven't made the switches available by themselves just yet). This goes also for the tube and cone. So actually, if your ego fails you have no device but not with this.

Also most ego batteries I see are in the 18-22 dollar range. Not sure where you are getting an 11.00 price. Also if you buy these at GotVapes with your Newsletter discount the price is more like $20.75.

One other thing - these accept BOTH 14500 and 14650 batteries. Many people already have these batteries lying around.

I bought the titanium one because I started out the an eGo, then quickly went to a Provari. I still liked the idea of the eGo as it is smaller and in some cases handier to carry around.

I can tell you that the build on this device is good. Smooth and polished, no rough corners. Authoritative weight. Doesn't feel wimpy. Made up of three parts that can be replaced independent of each other. Modular in design in both replacement and use aspect. I like that.

Kind of like buying ink for a printer. I'd rather have a printer with separate ink tanks, so that if I need to replace the yellow ink, I'm not forced to buy cyan and magenta as well.

I bought the 14500 model. Are you saying I can also use the 14650 battery? I know the difference is the springs. I don't currently have any 14650 batteries, but one day may get some.

Yes you can use a 14650 battery in it...you just have to push in on it a little more because of the higher spring..

Glad you like it...

Here I was planning on making my own cheapo mods................well look like I'm going to be changing my mind on that. These look too sleek and pweety to pass up, actually make any diy mods look awful tacky. LOL! Now if ya could just throw in DIY Juice section. I'll be coming to you for everything. but the batteries unless you'll put that in there as well, lol. Always finding new things. everything keep getting better and better.
On the DIY part lol a girl can dream right? Can she? "Goes of to dreamworld of DIY, Sigh happily"

But anyway, Huggles to you, BD and the pup(luv that puppy)

Those probably won't be here for about 10-14 days or so...

Danno and Chris, you have an eta for the 14500? Got my visions in the cart and I'm itching to pull the trigger. Also, saw on the other thread that cdt tank and vortanks are coming soon. I figure I should wait.
