e-Smokey Treats gone?

I've been a longtime customer of theirs, and and the site has just been a white page for the last day or two. I did some googling and found this on Facebook:

News yesterday that our dear friend Phil from e-Smokey Treats passed away this week. Phil was one of the first to take e-cigarettes online and was key in helping us bring them to a local store here in town 3 years ago. He has helped so many people and we hope we can keep his legacy alive for many years to come

That's terrible news. I quit smoking and started vaping almost three years ago, and talked to Phil quite a bit when I was first getting into vaping. He was always a top shelf guy, and the customer service from EST was great. I know that vaping is kind of a faceless industry these days, but e-Smokey Phil was always the go-to guy for my friends and I. He always seemed to have the best interest of the vaping community in mind, and seemed like a generally nice, like-able person. :(

Wow - that's quite a shock. People were chatting on here about purchases they had made only two to three weeks ago. Wonder who made the decision to just "wipe" the web site like that? I have a pile of URL's in my browser history from being at his site in December and they all turn up completely wiped pages now as well. It's really sad, and just a shock to see there wasn't even a short memorial notice put up on the site. :(

Aw, that really is sad news. I'm sorry for your loss. :(

Yes, a memorial would be nice.

I didn't mean to imply that I knew him personally - I'm sure he didn't know me from a hole in the wall. I just remember him as an extremely polite, helpful guy that answered all of my new-vaper questions and seemed genuinely interested in helping me quit smoking, instead of treating me like a customer.

I'm assuming they took the site down to prevent any new sales from coming up, but I have no actual information otherwise. Either way, it's definitely pretty sad news and a loss to the vaping community as a whole. :(
