E1 and E3 innards really suck

They need to fix that crappy connection between the tube and base. Whoever designed that needs to have their head checked. It rarely ever forms a tight deal which causes leaks too often. If you try to wash it and reconnect it you have a better chance of seeing a meteor.

So frustrating having spent lots of money on the tube and base because I thought maybe it was me or I had defective parts. But after going through about 10 of them with a 20 percent success rate I came to the conclusion that the design just sucks

And to my surprise Eric proved again why he is the best when it comes to customer service in any industry. My problems were not Eric's fault as he did not create or design these products. But his willingness to make things better (when he clearly did not have to) makes me his customer for life.

I will never do business with any other vendor. I only wish others could take lessons from Eric on what great customer service really is.

Eric let slip a couple weeks ago on his site that there is a new version of these coming out with a threaded base/tube! He mentioned a E1 Revive V3. I am anxious to try it. I too have many parts for the E1 and really want to like it, but that base to tube connection is horrible.

I am using E1 with Provary and getting all kind errors (from " circuit short" to "thermal protection"). I really like E1 so decided to investigate the problem and to try to get it fixed. The long story short the coils on the heating element were too close and touching each other (there's the reason for that: there's not insulator between the coil and the tube core).
Just take tweezers and very carefully spread the coil over the wick. Just make sure it's not touching the walls of the tube. Give it dry burn first to loose the buildup only if it's not a new.
P.s I agree with ckim11 about loose tube.

The coil burned down (next to positive soldering point) today after only 1 week of usage. BTW, the plastic seal on the bottom is just a plug . Maybe this why e-liquid flooded the tube so easily .

Oddly, I liked the E1 v2.. Even after cleaning it all in hot water ruined one of the tubes in moments. I'm getting a few more to clean and keep around to gift newbies with. The CE6 was also suprisingly nice, although the Vision Version 2 is more my current clearo choice. I may need to try that Thor or a Kanger - maybe I haven't experimented enough.

I tried them both and my favorite is the Kanger T2. The Thor is identical to the Vision and they are good but for me the T2 has the edge!!!
Go for it you won't regrett it...
